I'm Eastern region as well, so reducing consumption significantly at the moment. Which is, after all, what TOU tariffs are designed to do. The rest of this week isn't looking great. You can find price predictions here: https://prices.fly.dev/
Obviously the lack of both wind and sun is having an impact. I'm surrounded by onshore wind and solar, and not far from a major interconnector for offshore wind. It's grey, overcast, and still here.3 -
We're still eastern here too EH. Thanks for the link Greenbee - I shall peruse that for nosiness! Very calm here, although the sun is just beginning to poke through slightly more than she has been. We're making more than I'm using at least at the moment (although I do only have my laptop on).

Really useful link Greenbee - thank you! Joining Vix in the perusals! (And NOT liking the look of next Tuesday!)
I'm in London at the moment and it's pretty wind-free here it must be said - I suspect the movement I can see from the tree opposite the office is mostly from traffic going past!
We ended up about 35p down in comparison to what we would have paid on our fix yesterday. I did opt to use the camping stove for cooking the veg and halloumi for tea, but used the previously boiled water from the flask for the couscous and that worked excellently.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I've just driven through the windfarms, with all the turbines completely still in the mist. Having said that, while I was out the solar generated about 1.6kWh, so the battery stayed topped up. I've saved £1 so far since 30th Oct compared to Flux, so the intelligent charging is working (even if most of the slots are now more than Flux cheap rate), and daytime load is low enough to minimise use of rates outside the cheapest blocks. I just hope there's a reasonably priced slot soon for laundry!4

Only 4p more than the fix for me yesterday and 4p less than tracker. First time I've noticed a day that was more than either since I joined in march so can't complain at that, it can't get much higher than Merseyside prices at yesterday's broad peak3
-
I caved and shoved a load of laundry through last night greenbee - it had to be done otherwise I was going to have too much to get done over the weekend, particularly allowing I still have a bedding load to get through as well. It still feels very still (and misty, and mizzly) here today too and I'm not surprised to see that the Octopods have changed their mind about today being a super green day, although Sunday still shows as one currently.
teaselMay I'd not noticed the tracker prices until you mentioned that - ouch, our region saw over 26p a unit on tracker yesterday, back to 23p today but I think we've definitely beaten that too which is good to know. At the moment we are still in "credit" for the month compared to the fix, and the one thing we know about UK weather is that the current system won't stay about forever isn't it!

Yep I've succumbed to day time washing today too, with the fireworks I've not wanted to reduce the amount of dog bedding by doing a wash and so it's all a bit overdue, a load in now to go on the line for the afternoon, bit of a breeze will half dry it I think.3

It is such a lovely day here that my panels, all 18 of them, are generating a massive 0.2kwh. Which has been about par for the course for over a week now. I don't think I have ever paid such attention to the weather.

I'm generating 0.3kw @badmemory - but the 1.3kWh so far has covered the baseload and topped the battery back up a little. However, now my cleaner has arrived and is hoovering, the battery and grid have both kicked in! Grid will probably drop off and battery will pick it all up, but it means the battery will be fairly run down by the end of the day so I'm hoping for some better overnight pricing tonight (I also need to run the DW and possibly the WM, although with no sun forecast tomorrow it won't dry on the line!

My baseload is at least 0.5kwh often 0.7 so not doing that great at the moment & the battery is down lower than it is supposed to go. And I am about to close the curtains. Its a good job I have a sense of humour.
