Great inroads unto the gardening year, @EH. Our garden is very much 'cottage style' as that's what I like - a soft tangle of textures, colours & greenery. Nothing in rows until the top end of the garden which is our veg plot.
Many traditional cottage garden plants are "good do-ers" & easy to divide for freebies.

I literally said to MrEH when I got back to the car "I've just had the most MSE trip to Gr3ggs EVER!" We'll see if she uses it now - my suspicion is that either she will lose the bit of paper, or that one of her colleagues will say that they are with Octopus as well and she'll use their code instead - fair enough.
Foxgloves this was my thinking on the availability of plants for division - I'm happy tp leave things a little bit "barer" this year while we work out what else we have that we will be relocating - there will certainly be some daffodils I think as those have come up all over the place out the back! I'll get some aquilegia seeds scattered about as well as I have some of those saved from the plants at the flat. I brought one clump with me and those are already planted in. Do pulmonaria plants split down, do you know? That's something else I have a couple of clumps of that we brought over - actually, thinking about it, it was one clump that I have already split, so I have my answer already!
Something I forgot on my previous post - MrEH has finally got around to speaking with HMRC about his pension contributions - and it looks like he will be getting an adjustment of coding for this month, along with a rebate to come in the form of a cheque in the post. A bit of a discussion has already resulted in the decision that the majority of this will be making a nice chunky OP to the mortgage, we think. Not counting on any of it until it's actually arrived mind you - it wouldn't surprise me at all if he had to chase up on it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

@EH - Yes, all the pulmonarias seem to split perfectly happily. Like all these cottage garden clump-forming favourites, it's just a case of looking for the best place to put the spade.

Smashing - nice to have it confirmed and know that it wasn't just a happy accident that I managed to split that one originally! It was a clump that originally came from my Great Aunt's lovely garden, so I was very keen to make sure we got to keep it. Oddly enough it seems happier at the house than it ever was in its location at the flat too - both clumps are cheerfully flowering away already, and I know from experience they will keep going through much of the year now - beautiful plants.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

That was very quick thinking to give your referral code to the lady in Greggs. I referred my dad last month and we've both already had our £50 credit. I do all dad's admin and banking so it was no effort for him. He also got a chunky refund of his credit from his previous supplier so a good result all round.6

Mum and I have routinely swapped referral codes when we've been with various suppliers as well Blackcats - over the years we've each made a couple of hundred £ that way I think! The tentacled ones are extremely quick at applying it too - I think it was worked out that they do it as soon as the person being referred pays their first DD.
Beanie - I hope not, but we will see!
MSE stuff for today:
- Banks checked and fine
- A little bit of CC clearing money shuffling done this morning - once that has all cleared we should be back at zero again.
- Madam Boss has paid me the stray £10.xx that wasn't included in my main pay. She thinks that the accounting people should be sending her my payslip earlier from now on so hopefully this will not be an ongoing thing as it's a faff for both of us!
- MrEH confirmed that he does not expect to have to feed his Oyster until Thursday, which is good news.
- My car will get diesel this evening - MrEH's will last through until the weekend.
- The above points mean that with luck we should be on target to get by on 2 x Oyster feeds and 3 lots of diesel this month, which was what I had budgeted. April will almost certainly be 3 Oyster feeds though so I will need to make sure I forward plan for that.
- Plenty of salad left from last night's omelette accompaniment so that will be some added veg for this evening.
- The weather had other ideas about washing going outside to dry this morning so MrEH has stuck that on the airer.
- Looking at the forecast, I will plan in two loads for the end of the week as Friday is currently looking rather glorious!
- Entered Dun31m's competition to win a load of stuff - some of it would be useful, at least!
- We've got a survey date for our planned solar installation - not until the end of the month but at least it's in the diary.
Other stuff:
- weather for Thursday for Lincoln now looks average. Frankly I'm fed up with pandering to it - I'm going up regardless now, unless they actually call off all flying the day before or something silly!
- I'm keeping up the yoga - had a day without on Saturday as my arms needed a rest (the current "Move" 30 day challenge involves a lot of downward dogs and similar and my wrists complain after a while!)
- Still trying to make decisions around accommodation for the way up for our holiday allowing that Tr@vel0dge want silly money for our usual options.
- The Gr@ze people with the nice snack boxes have written to me and confirmed they are changing the way their subscriptions work - for me it would mean a big increase in price, so I will sadly be letting that one go after this month. By way of consolation I have increased my boxes to weekly (I usually have them fortnightly) through this month. Going forward it will save me some money each month, but I will miss my tasty snacks!

Just delurking to say do you double up/fold over your yoga mat (if you have a thin one). I find the bit of extra padding helps with the pressure on the wrists when doing down dogs and planks in Pilates. My Pilates teacher actually suggests it as well. I tend to do it towards the top third of the mat and then I can just quickly unfold it for the next move.Glad you are enjoying the yoga, amazing how much better some regular low impact exercise can make you feel 😊7

EH Plant labels. I save used margarine cartons, wash them out and cut them into strips, write on them with a Sharpie and they are ideal for seedlings. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.7
