Came home from work early, as did a long day Monday and an even longer one on Wednesday. DR table cleared and cleaned. Aired washing put away, bed stripped and remade. DW and WM loaded. Dry towels brought in.
Christmas dinner invitation extended to DS and DIL. Menu announced- beef wellington. accompaniments to be decided but will no doubt include pigs in blankets (nod to tradition & DDs favourite). Starter will likely be fish based, dessert by M&S. This year i will order a fillet from a butcher i think.
Family Secret Santa - new system. Fingers crossed I get a lady…

Hallooooo xx Is there anybody there? I missed the memo (showing my age) about today's flylady trip. Or have you all melted in the heat?
I was awake just after 7am and did my Worldle and Wordle puzzles, then must have gone back to sleep! Pops woke me up at 10.42 am when he phoned. Most discombobulating to find the morning nearly gone! Anyhoo I'm up, made my bed, washed and dressed, and had a brew.
NN has asked me to put their chickens to bed at 8pm. Apart from that I have nothing planned.
I'm going to try a long guided meditation to see if I can get on top of this anxiety/ black dog somewhat.
Stay hydrated my lovelies 💓

I’m here * waves limply from the corner*. Well, the unmelted bits of me are, anyway.
I stupidly had to deal with a self induced hangover this morning. Partly resolved by going to allotment early to water. And pick more beans. Normally these would have been turned into a bean pickle à la Delia, but no kitchen has kind of stymied that plan. They are currently waiting for me to get my act together, along with their companions the courgettes, spinach and sweetcorn.
DD has gone back to uni city for a couple of days. I need to do so much flying but, at the risk of sounding repetitive, it’s twot. Nothing sorted for dinner as I really need to rummage in the freezers and that doesn’t seem like a good plan today.8 -
Sat on the doorstep waiting for piggers to come home 😊
Waving back to Fayolle 👋
I've fed the birds and put the recycling out. Plus torn up a box to be recycled. Luckily I got on top of the laundry and the pots yesterday as today I have perfected the fine art of doing nothing much.
I hope you are cool and hydrated.
Much love
Rxx

I’m here, popped back in last night but it sounded peaceful so didn’t want to wake you all 🤫
Apologies I have been reading Fred but I can’t recall who has done what ☺️
Todays plans were to have DGS for a couple of hours while DS and DDIL went to reregister DGS birth then go see mum this afternoon. Apparently as they married after his birth the new baby would have had more rights than he would which I didn’t know. They were running late as the traffic was bad so instead of dropping him off as planned I had to run into town to meet them.I had managed to hoover 2 x living rooms, hallway, dining room and kitchen, fed the pooch and the birds and did a poo pick in the yard before I left.DGS was most upset that he couldn’t come to ours so I initially took him for breakfast by the river then a bit of shopping before meeting up with DS/DDIL. He still wanted to come home with me so we agreed I would take him back late pm. The there was the request for tea so we got that all out the way, DH and DD dropped me off at the hospital, took him home and picked me up on way back. I was most grateful as it was still 25 degrees and muggy. Exhausted as although I absolutely adore him, he hasn’t stopped. We have played games, done puzzles, built tents, and castles with kinetic sand, played shops and negotiated over how many vegetables he has to eat to get at treat 😆
Tomorrow will be peaceful as day off from visiting mum and nothing planned (other than flying and food shopping).Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!8
