Oh my Fayolle I'm sorry to hear that you had a day of it too. Mahoosive hugs heading darn sarf. 🤗
piggers - thank you. Xx
To you all thank you. 😘
I'm not going to work tomorrow. Hopefully by Tuesday my resilience quotient will have recalibrated.
Natty - I hope you had a problem free move.
I have not done anything this afternoon. Just flumped in the chair and even then it was twot.
Hugs to all. Hope you all sleep well.

ASB…if i win the lottery i’ll send a crew round. Ordinary mortar or lime? (see, all those hours watching Grand Designs etc weren’t wasted).
i cleaned my room but the vacuum went red and stopped. By the time i had got the hair off the bar it was too late for another run.
oh my it’s hot

Catering forms filled in for TwinkleSecondary application for Pixie sorted.. partly because I know she will do well wherever she goes and partly for the very selfish reason of.. I know she can bring Dot home from school safely.DS2 picked Dot up from school today and she stepped into the road.. at a green man crossing.. This is why she cannot walk home alone.2 parcels sorted ready to post.
DLA forms filled in and printed.. I need a signature and they can go in the postbox.
I didn't get to see EC and Harer today.. I was supposed to go about 6.. and I woke up at 6:17 and still hadn't done dinner.. I can't do school runs.. they are killing me! The arder these get the more I hate CF for never allowing me to learn t drive (I wasn't allowed any way of escape).. and he did 3 years of lessons and never passed his test.. I hate him for that.. I have wanted to drive since I was 5! I remember the day! I don't know anyone who could sign the forms now and it is probably pointless.. I'm probably too old.

Raiding the WAC biscuit jar. Not unexpected really. Wondering if there's any lemon meringue pie lurking in a flylady larder. My mum used to make it!
piggers - there's no upper age limit for taking driving lessons / tests. My aunt was in her 40s when she started driving. Not sure how old you are but certainly not 'too old' at all. Xx

Morning all
Round I have HM lemon cake here if that's okay?
Fayolle - oh lovely I am so sorry they are such barstewards. Head high xx
Natty I hope all is well chick - I am so excited for your new start. Keep us posted xx
Valli - lime please hun!
Woke up feeling grumpy. Shaking it off slowly with tea and toast. Animals fed, kids to wake, shower to be had. I need to call at the agri store for poultry corn on my way in, take some cash out for the local agri show tomorrow and buy some milk. I will definitely forget part of that!!
Roll on 3pm home time and an early night with my book (didn't happen last night, DS was really upset so we had lots of cuddles).
Lots of love to all xx7 -
ASB - I knew it! lol
oh how i wish i could…
i will add an intensive driving course for Piggers to the list too (and a big car/minibus, insured)
Wouldnt it be lovely to spread some joy? Also on the list is houses for the Vallikids. I’ll just get decorators in here to sort a few jobs, and a proper loft ladder. I don’t want much to be fair. Oh and my gardens landscaped…and a pond with a deck by it/overhanging it almost. with a little fountain…and a nice rabbit run so the bunnies can stop eating my plants.
Up at sparrow fart because it’s hot…. homes of the future will have bedrooms on lower floors, for coolth.
Anyway, I have put towels in to wash as they’ll dry today and we’ve only two more hot days forecast and got all my ironing done…in the dining room with the patio door wide open. Was lovely, so cool. I’m now having my vertical half hour and pondering whether to get up after it and knock some more jobs out. There’s a danced bin bag to go in the bin, pots to put away. DW hasn’t been run as yesterday was a salad day so it’s nowhere near full. Kitchen needs some love. i think i’ve finally got the leaks under the sink sorted…everytime i dealt with one leaky joint i seemed to disturb another.
Off to work today but i worked two long days so i won’t be there all day.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good morning all.
Hugs to all those struggling with work/schools/children/life in general. Welcome to Wales, @Natty68. We will almost be neighbours, well just about an hour apart, more if stuck behind a tractor.
Today the calendar says the man is coming to do a animal feed inspection. (New thing locally). So having been busy all week I planned not to worry/panic about it till this morning. Yesterday I was busy watering and looking to see if the broad beans were coming up yet, when the man arrived! I'd put the wrong day, no time to get stressed. He was lovely, as it turned out. He looked at the feed bins, asked where we bought feed, looked at the sheep (said how well they looked), had a cuppa and ta?med about growing asparagus. The later two were not part of the inspection. He'll be back in five years.
So today I'm free to do as I please.
DW probably twice.
Thing about tea.
Hoover the stairs.
Water and weed as needed, Look again at the broad beans seeds.
Pick raspberries, eat lots.
Clean bathrooms.
That should do for now. Off to clear the breakfast things away hugs, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.7 -

Morning all xx
Sooo tempted to hop into Feargal and drive over to asb's for lemon cake and chicken therapy (sitting with them, not eating them!!!) Luckily, for asb, I don't know where she lives. I do know where piggers lives but she is protected by scary city roads. So I'll stay home 🏡
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, fed the birds, filled the birdbath, and I'm supping a brew. It'll be baby steps today.
Valli - what is a 'danced bin bag'? I assume it's a typo or a predictive text error? But (a) I can't work out what it could be and (b) my brain likes the idea of dancing through the list - but not while it's twot!
Round 1
Knot LR bin bag and put in dustbin
Knot kitchen bin bag and put in dustbin
Put new bin bags in both bins
Put recycling out
Bring down laundry hamper
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
WUDUPA
Have a good day
