Weekly Flylady Thread 04th September 2023

Heat and an on/off migraine have exhausted me today.  This afternoon we went to the annual show in the village where DS1 &co live.  DDiL1 and DGD1+2 met us there, so we sat in the sun eating ice cream.  (Fortunately I had remembered to wear my hat.)

This evening I unloaded the DW and cooked some beans for tea.  Twot for anything else.

I did go to bed around 9pm as I'd had an early start but am now up again.  A really bad storm has been raging for about an hour.  Noisy and it took the electrics out for a while.  Poppet is terrified.  The lightning is quite something and the thunder soooo loud.  At least I can have a lie in tomorrow but I don't think I'll be cutting the grass which is on my to do list.

went swimming yesterday and that was about it…though i did pop to M&S for bits for tea and to enjoy the AC

Morning all.  Hope you're well today.

 I'm just having breakfast having already walked Poppet.  It's twot already so I've decided I don't have a to do list apart from dailies today.  I'm going to star a new book before the paid stuff later.

Morning all,
What are these storms and rain-stuff of which you speak? Cloudy now but twot already. I have achieved for the day - finished my book. I need to rouse myself to strip the bed and get the wm running, as planning to do washing in the week is unpredictable. Electricians turn up and there goes your electricity for an hour or more.
DH’s burfday today. DD is driving back later from uni city for the occasion, which has touched him. We have a joint present for him so he is having to wait for that. 

I have beans and plums to deal with, a fridge to sort and really, really need to get on with the dress that I need to wear at a wedding in less than a fortnight. I am procrastinating over putting the zip in…

Twot already here too. Not resorted to the fan ....yet.

I'm up, made my bed, had a brew, and eaten breakfast.  

A mahoosive grandaddy of a daddy long legs flew into my bedroom as I opened the windows to go to bed. We did the tango - dodge and swirl....hmmm or was it a paso doble? And it disappeared. Gone. Out of the window???? I dunno. Can't find it this morning either. First thing I did was eyeball the ceiling,  light fitting, behind the bookcase....not that I'm bothered or anything 🤔 

No rain here either Fayolle

Fan is on. 

I've fed the birds, topped up the birdbath, put out the recycling, 'persuaded' a mahoosive grandaddy daddy longlegs (same one?) that it doesn't want to come into the kitchen, and had a second brew.

Vacuumed the rooms that matter. Bedding on the line plus another load. DH seems to fancy a career change to being a meteorologist as he keeps telling me it is about to rain (he is cleaning his car for the first time since he got it. It goes back in a couple of weeks when he finally officially finishes work. I have pointed out that it will get dirty in 2 weeks. I am not popular!). I will hate it if he is right, on more than one count …🤣

Twinkle howling because I made her change from the long sleeve winter dress and fur lined boots.. and then from the fleece pjs.. she is now wearing shorts and tshirt.. and knee length socks.. I despair!!

2 loads of laundry ont he line and both WM's on again.. the kitchen is a swamp so I sm trying to clear that but it is suffocating in there.

DW loaded.. might be done now actually.. slured juice and snaffled french fries (crisps not skinny chips)

I need to find uniforms, scrub girls after OH has cleared the bathroom.. it smells in there and I'm not sure of what. pack ups and a lot of wiping. cat trays and OH is mincing the grass and wittering about bottling mead, setting up another batch and washing the car.. good job I don't want help INSIDE the house is it not *sarcasm*

My feet are really puffy and painful.

Burned my wrist on the oven shelf. Put it straight under the cold tap but it's bubbling up and sore. 

Pizza was good though 😊
