Private Land Parking Ticket

Options
I recently received a county court summons concerning a parking violation. I am not in possession of all the comprehensive particulars pertaining to the Private Land Parking ticket at this time. The available information consists solely of a chronological sequence spanning from the year 2019 to March 2023. I am unfamiliar with the concept of Parking Charges until now. I am in dire need of assistance.

    Hello and welcome.

Firstly, I doubt you have received a summons, but perhaps you have received a County Court Claim Form.

If so, what is the Issue Date on that Claim Form?

    Who is the Claimant?
  • You are absolutely correct. It is a County Court Claim form. The issue date on the claim form is 17th August 2023. The claimant is Highview Parking Ltd.

With a Claim Issue Date of 17th August, you have until Tuesday 5th September - just a few days away - to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 19th September 2023 to file your Defence.
That's a little over two weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
  • I have filed an Acknowledgment of Service and have been told I have until Tuesday 19th September 2023 to file my defence.

Are they using DCBLegal or maybe CST Law?

Your case is like this one (except for the bits about the vehicle being a leased car - Hirer and the fact she's a midwife etc):

The similarity is that you say "The available information consists solely of a chronological sequence spanning from the year 2019 to March 2023."

Well that's not enough info which is why I'm showing you that link.  You can adapt that start to the defence then the rest is as per the template defence.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • Yes, they are using DCBLegal.
  • Please, where can I find the defence template?

I gave you a link to the second post of the NEWBIES thread.
That post includes all you need to know about this stage - including a link to the template Defence thread.
  • Regrettably, it appears that the provided link is currently inactive. I kindly request assistance from someone as I am experiencing increasing anxiety due to the approaching deadline.
