It's a never ending story! CCBC and now QDR solicitors!

So today I received yet another threatening letter....this time from QDR solicitors. From what I've read I need to respond to this one as well. Having just submitted my defence for ECP and CCBC I feel like this is them trying to bombard me so I completely lose the will with everything just pay up. Again I've checked my 'paybyphone' app history and I have paid for full days parking on both the days I was given a 'PCN'. Please tell me what my next steps should be.

The first few words of that letter - We have been instructed by ZZPS Limited... - and the mention of '14 days', tells you it is just a debt collector's letter.

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.

That's a debt collector letter and can safely be ignored. The clue is they are acting for ZZPS, which is a debt collector.

Is this to do with either of your other two threads?  If not, carry on but more detail required (if you find you cannot just ignore it as per the advice), if it is you should keep all info on one thread.

The one sure thing is that the QDR letter is the utmost crap.

Son of WHOPLA strikes again with RUBBISH

If I got such a letter which tells lies, I mean instructed by ZZPS .... THE GREAT OSNER  SCAM ..... SUCH RUBBISH, and so menacing with their stupid threats, the letter would be sent to my MP asking them to forward this to the SRA, the MoJ, and Mr Gove MP of DLUHC to show them how deep in the sewers these money scammers are living

You simply cannot respond to a load of rubbish
  • Back again for an update and just wondering if I should have heard anything by now or if I should chase it up so see if the case has been stayed or not? I got this letter from the 'new' County Court Business Centre in August.

What does your MCOL Claim History have to say?

You could of course always phone the CNBC - number on your Claim Form  and on that letter you've just shown us - and ask them what's going on.

What does your MCOL history say?  If it's unclear, call the CNBC to check its current status. Expect to be on hold for some time. There seems better success in getting through first thing in the morning (08:30/09:00). But you never know your luck whenever you dial.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • I finally found the courage to call them and the case has been stayed. What a relief! If they wanted to apply to a judge to have it reopened then does the judge have to read my defence in order to decide?

No. A judge will decide on whether to unstay a claim based on the argument that the claimant makes. Your defence will only be considered if it goes to a hearing. Many claimants go on to resurrect claims so be prepared.
