Oh shut up!It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Haven't read the whole thread, but totally agree with OP's first post - Christmas is a commercial gimmick these days, designed entirely to spank us all on the backsides with our own stupidity. But nearly all of us fall for it every year just the same.
Anyway, can I just make it clear that I'm NOT sitting on the OP or anyone else's shoulder at the moment. Given the size of me right now, I think that would be a physical impossibility! Don't want any compensation claims in the New Year for 'damage caused to upper body by large stupid black & white thing'.
Merry Christmas!0 -

I was thinking that too, maybe it'll be a mouldy yule log with shrooms growing out of it.

Hi,
One thing I noticed whilst helping mum do her Xmas food shopping - why to people insist on taking husbands and their 4 misbehaving kids????. The number of arguments/shoving/hitting (from the kids I must add) I saw yesterday was unbelievable. And, you should have seen the rush when they announced over the tannoy that sprouts (yum ! :T - go sprouts) have been delivered
Also, I had a 'discussion' with my husband about what I wanted for Xmas. This meant that I was frogmarched around Boots and had to justify why I didn't want X (I am 28, I do not want a teapot set!) I know for a fact that 5 days later everything is going to be half price )
My Sister In Law is in debt (almost as bad as me, and she is not paying it back), and she doesn't realise that her and my nieces and nephew are only getting money boxes for Xmas - We might have to save up for IVF
. I think that there will be a tantrum. I think the kids will be ok though!
If it wasn't for me leaving three of my children at home and Husband at work it could have been my crew you spotted in the supermarket;)
Here it is just Sunday dinner with presents as husband and I only have the family we created with a bit of *rap tv thrown in:rotfl:Panda on My Shoulder
If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it :rotfl:0 -
