I had the same message from Sop but after two weeks Lufthansa got back in touch to say they will pay me compensation of 2400 euros1

That's great to hear - what was your journey and how many people did that 2400 Euros cover?
I had another holding email around 4 weeks ago stating they (SOP) are still working through their backlog, so I'm not expecting an update for another few weeks.0
