Trying to transfer an ISA from Newcastle BS to NatWest

I have been trying to transfer an ISA from Newcastle BS to the NatWest ISA.
I’ve used the MSE calculator that showed it would be much better to move from Newcaslle's BS 2.1% fix with one year to go , to Natwest’s 5.9 % fix.
I was deterred by Newcastle Building Society's 365 day interest penalty, as it will still be worth transferring the cash.
After completing NatWest’s online form, I found out through NatWest that Newcastle BS rejected the request on the grounds that the first names mismatched .
I phoned them up and the issue over the first name was clarified. The asked me to complete another form .
I filled in another online form on or about 8th Aug.
Today Newcastle BS have told me that the transfer has been rejected again this time because NatWest has not requested the funds 'on demand' on the most recent form.
I asked Newcastle BS to look at the first form I sent . and according to them that was also completed incorrectly and not requested 'on demand'. they could have told me this when the rejected it the first time
So this would tell me that if I complete a third NatWest form it will also be wrong , I cannot get to speak to anyone in the NatWest ISA team, it seems to be a phone that is never answered (if it is a phone at all ) , with no queuing system ,
I’ve spent two hours on the number with no answer.
So I cannot speak to anyone in the isa team to tell them that they are doing something wrong with their transfer request , and Newcastle will not comply with my request over the phone that the just transfer my money to the NatWest account, because 'they don't do things that way' .
So I seem to be stuck between the jobsworths at Newcastle and the incompetence at NatWest, who cannot be contacted to tell them they are doing something wrong .
It’s a good rate of interest on this ISA , and I don’t want to lose it. If I take my cash to another ISA account it will cost a me quite a bit of interest.
But with the window to fund the ISA closing and natwest taking over week to post a form to NBS and they take up to 14 days to process the transfer , I may have to do that anyway
Can anyone offer any advice about how to move this along
Virgin and Santander managed the whole process in 5 days. with no contact from me.
