Received discounted letter

0 -
If the parking charges and added fees were justified (which they are not) then how come they can offer a 25% 'discount' during a court case like it's some sort of bargain?
The daft language shows it for what it is. It just looks so unprofessional from a solicitor: "Great news"?!
Come back here on 4th March to discuss.
Or reply and say:
Dear Sirs,
Re your laughable 'Great news' letter that you really need to re-think and bin.
In my experience, the language used is not how most solicitors write in a professional capacity. I'm not an idiot. And I'm not web-chatting with you either.
Get real, it's Southampton Court and you know how well you'll do there, again.
Further, it's a residential 'own space' case where your clients - Countrywide Parking - seem to have negligently delayed the permit and issued PCNs instead. Not exactly fair and open dealing, is it?
With hindsight, I wish I'd counterclaimed.
I will pursue all my costs if your client fails to discontinue this case in February.

Good morning,
I agree with you regarding this nonsense extortion

My main point of argue is primacy of contract, since they came here after I started to live here, in these block so...
Other point I should have counterclaimed but my vision was to claim £6500. If they think they are entitled to any money so am I.1 -
But you don't need a long reply. They know your main point. The idea is not to spell that out, just virtually punch them on the nose.
The sort of rude reply I suggest tells them you aren't a victim. The idea is to make them wonder if it's even worth sending a rep to a hearing for your case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I acknowledge receipt of your recent communication regarding the ongoing proceedings involving Countrywide Parking at Southampton Court. Allow me to express my profound dismay at the inadequate and frankly laughable content of your 'Great news' letter.
The language employed in your communication falls far short of the professional standards expected in legal correspondence. Rest assured, I am neither an imbecile nor inclined to engage in frivolous web-chat banter. Let us adhere to the gravity that legal matters demand.
I find it incredulous that Countrywide Parking, your clients, have seemingly neglected due diligence, leading to the negligent delay in permit issuance and the subsequent unjustifiable distribution of Parking Charge Notices (PCNs). This raises serious questions about the integrity of their practices and their commitment to fair and open dealings.
In hindsight, I regret not having pursued a counterclaim to address the blatant shortcomings in this case. I strongly urge your client to reconsider their stance, as failure to discontinue this case in February will result in the relentless pursuit of all associated costs.
I trust you comprehend the severity of this situation and anticipate a more concerted effort on your part to rectify the shortcomings evident in your representation.
Yours faithfully,
what do you think ?0 -
I think it reads like ChatGPT. Too many long words and not natural language.
You've also missed the point of "Get real, it's Southampton Court and you know how well you'll do there, again."
Just mentioning the court isn't what I meant! You are meant to be punching them on the nose.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
