Missing passengers equals missed connection, airline say not liable

Last update incase anyone searches the forum in the future for this circumstance - Brussels Airlines have just paid out the 800 euros compensation. I advise going to whichever arbitrator concerned for the country of the airline, as getting SÖP involved definitely worked out for me. Good luck everyone and thanks for all the advice.
