Vodafone claiming I didn't cancel contract when I did.

Had you signed up for voxi before ringing to withdraw from the vodafone contract? If so it could be that they were advising to port your number away from Vodafone then port it back to the new voxi sim. What information came with the pac regarding termination charges? Where does this figure of £1000 come from?
My concern would be that in withdrawing from your £19 pm contract they have somehow put you back on your old tariff and reset your minimum term. Have they tried to send you a monthly bill? What information comes up in your vodafone account?

Are you still paying £19 per month as well?

I signed up before yes but they told me i could move with a PAC code which i can't. Before my 19/month contract I was on a month on month because the prior contract included a phone. They have now agreed to drop the charges in compliance with UK Consumer laws and we are currently discussing compensation + me getting my number bacl. Any idea what kind of compensation I should ask for? I mean they basically sent a 1000gbp bill saying it will seriously damage credit score if not paid in 5 days and it feels a bit disgusting that they did this when it was their mistake.
