  • Update.

I did something that was not advised and paid the amount claimed to Gladstones on the last day available to ensure I wouldn't have the CCJ permanently on my record. (I panicked! Please be kind)

I then received an email yesterday from the CNBC advising the judgment has been set aside and my defence put in for Gladstones to answer. Also they have offered me an ex gratia to compensate me for paying the claim as I would not have needed to had they filed the defence when I sent it.

They believe that Gladstones will not continue with the claim against me as on their end it's settled. However, I am continuing with it and now have the DQ to fill out and send back.

The CNBC offered you compensation? Nice.  More than £150? That's what @jag_run got. Are you out of pocket?

I agree that Gs will discontinue and walk away.

I received £200. Which was more than what the claim was against me. I am a few pounds out of pocket due to the admin cost added on but less than what I would have paid had I paid the PCN in the beginning. Not ideal, I wanted to get the case thrown out! Lesson learned, have a little faith!

But if they don't discontinue, crack on and win!
