Something a bit more along these lines in order to comply with the PAP for a privacy breach:

    Data Protection Officer
    Eddisons
    Conway House
    1 Blackburn Road
    Sheffield
    S61 2DW

    2nd August 2023

    Dear Sir,

Letter of Claim for Breach of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)............
14 days passed. No response from Eddisons bar the initial "we'll look into it" email from their Legal Counsel

Think it's worth giving them a nudge?

If you think it's worth it, you could spend £35 and file a claim using the MCOL. They may be calling your bluff.

I must admit, that did cross my mind haha :) problem is once i've filed the claim, discontinuance could be expensive

The only "cost" if you discontinue is the £35 court fee you already paid.

So exactly 1 month to the day since I SAR'd VCS the SAR revealed this gem of evidence. VCS continue to refuse to cancel the PCN

Scandalous breach of GDPR and DVLA KADOE rules. There was absolutely no legitimate interest here!

My plan now, await the claim to come through, and do a defence and counter claim for breach of GDPR/DPA 2018 and DVLA KADOE. Just need to work out how much I want to counter-sue them for.

    Spotted this too!

Just 8 minutes after the details of the vehicle were sent to VCS by Scott, he TOLD VCS I had showed him the permit (the 15th June) and VCS still got my details from the DVLA on the 20th June and then issuing the PCN on the 21st June.
