HSBC terrible behaviour over Fraud on my daughter accounts

It seems unsurprising that HSBC will need a more thorough investigation than the others when the amounts involved are in the thousands rather than the hundreds, but the fact that they've reimbursed some money, but not all of it, would seem to signify an acceptance of partial liability. What has been their explanation regarding the partial refund?katria said:
almost some has now made itself back to HSBC as well and they did refund about £3008 too my daughter when Ombudsman investigated ,, Only HSBC are being awkward and not repaying about £4000 and have been very unhelpful and difficult with the Ombudsman ,, HSBC still deny that the account was compromised and that only so malfeasance by my daughter could have made it possible.0 -
Reading between the lines, I'm surmising the 4k relates to HSBC credit card transactions.eskbanker said:

I read it as the refund was what HSBC had managed to claw back rather than compensation but it's difficult to know for sure.

What's the connection between the app, the alleged hacking and the alleged maxed out credit card? The app doesn't show the credit card number nor the CVC code but is used for authorising transactions.0

It looks like the OP isn't going to be participating any more. The OP has been banned. No idea why but we’ll probably never find out the full story.1

one thing is for absolute certain there is no software that can be downloaded either deliberately or accidentally that can infect multiple bank account apps3
