Woke 2 DSs, then did some yoga.
Was dreading work, being with 1 pupil all day. They're a runner, so knew I'd be on the go all day. It actually went really well & stayed in pe the whole lesson, which is unheard of. Was chosen as participant of the week, so made me feel good too. I did get to 'join in' so got lots of steps & exercise in 😃
Spent 2 hours ironing the outgrown clothes when I got home. Did the dishes after tea (& I'd spent an hour playing stupid games on my phone!). Too late & I'm too tired to do any of my rug now.

Grateful for work going well, compliment from a teacher who I worked with last term, the new parts for the washing machine arriving & it being the weekendUse it up, wear it out

@grandmanerd - My sister actually built a little house in their backyard to house the C-word ornaments! Could use it as a rental someday. Right now it is totally full. She also has two walk-in closets for the rest of the ornaments, plus a large closet for other holidays. She will be 74 this year so she says she is planning on cutting down on the number of trees. But she is still very active in the Hallmark club and her husband loves looking for stuff for the holidays at yard sales and swap meets (boot sales). So I don't think they will be cutting back too much yet.10

I've had an absolutely wonderful day. A meal with DS1 and DS2, their partners and my grand-daughter and meeting lots of lovely people, hanging out watching the Pride Parade.
Grateful for good food, my little family and making friends with lots of lovely and helpful people - DS1's 'a few steps' meant 9 tiled full steps and only a short handrails but a bevy of lovely lesbians took the walker, my bags and both my arms and got me up them into the restaurant.7 -
I dare say lesbians would understand accessibility problems so much more than most. So glad you had a lovely day, and with DS1 & 2 together in the same place.

Surprised to come on here and see the C-word making an appearance already! Am I in the right thread?!
I too have witnessed the C-sparkle in the shops... large glittery ornaments and rolls of shiny paper. It's getting earlier every year! It's not even been my birthday yet and I've always considered that to be at the end of summer.
Although to be honest, I have started gathering some gifts for sprout day myself. I spotted some games in Waterstanes that I know DS will enjoy and I found them on V!ntD for a fraction of the price. I've also got DS's Halloween costume from the site for £3 and the same outfit is still being sold at £20 online.
It's my birthday tomorrow - Monday - so I've been receiving gifts over the weekend. Thankfully my family know me well and tend to avoid gifting me 'stuff' and instead gift money and experiences. However, I did receive a single piece of 'stuff' which I was extremely touched by... a t-shirt from my father-outlaw. He had it made for me to match his own. It features an image of a wolf and a saying from a TV series we both enjoyed.
Sales on the V!ntD site have been going well this week, I've gained a little space in my cupboard and made a few extra squid.
Talking of squid, I've also changed my Sunday Sweeps saving strategy. Until now, I have swept our weekly underspends in our food, transport and leisure budgets into holidays and mortgage overpayments. I'll still be sweeping into holidays, but we're on track with paying off the mortgage by C-word 2025. DS won't stop growing out of his clothes and shoes, and he's in a few sports groups... so DS will be getting the extra pennies including those made on online sales.
Have a good day turtles, xx

I saw C cards tooo!
OK, so it's not been a good month, but it helped me think more and notice the bad habits that have crept in again.
I had an NSD on Friday and it will be another today.
Need to tighten the shop though...what with all the fees and costs for house buying and moving etc.
