What's the Tesco product that some say is as good as Liz Earle's? I've never tried either, but im doing a tesco order, so might as well give it a go... Cheers!

me too! I love personal recommendations for make up.

Other products I love are Nars Multiple stick - great for cheek and lip colour

No 17 eyeshadow - I find them really long lasting

and Garnier Body Lotion - BodyRepair milk. It's in a red plastic bottle and contains canadian maple sap. it is so moisturising and a little goes a really long way. I have had dry skin on my legs all my life, and the only product to have got rid of the scales on my legs is this.
Not buying clothes for a year - it's liberating!

I have just changed over from prescriptives foundation to mac, big mistake makes me look jaundiced :(, but i have just discovered mineral makeup after winning a set on our comp sections, man!! its great stuff!!
My body seems to be going thru puberty again (i am 34!) & with the redness around face, acne, winter skin etc etc i really found mineral makeup to last the distance.
I have recently stopped used retin a for my acne ( & fine wrinkles near my eyes ;) & mineral makeup is the only stuff that don't burn!
After reading suggestions here, i have started to use the boots botanice range for blemished/problem skin & i gotta say its works a treat - for the price i bought tons of stuff!
My fave mascara of all time ( i am the original panda eye lady!!) is estee lauders moisture buildup formula, it likes so natural, no clumps/spinders eyes for me!
My cheapest & i have gotta say the best for my super-sensitive eyes to get rid of all my makeup the first time around is dove shampoo!!. I have used products from the top of the range all the way down to the bottom & nothing beats dove for me!
Had 2 relatives, 1 working in chanel & the other in the mac/clinique/elizabeth arden/estee lauder/mac/prescriptives group, so you can imagine how many testers i used to get!!
Thanks for all the wonderful tips here, much appreciated. I would really love to chat to someone who uses retin a (tretonin) as well ;)
No one said it was gonna be easy!
  • For skincare I don't use anything other than SkinActives. You can buy the fresh active ingredients and add them to their basic canvas cream to make your own tailor made potent skin care. They have a recipe to make Creme de la Mer and you can buy the stuff of them for buttons compared to what that stuff costs (plus theirs is stronger and fresher! :T ).
And I couldnt live without my mineral makeup. Again the stuff I get comes from the states but I buy the Lily Lolo blusher as they have such lovely colours although I dont like the foundation shades.
Mineral makeup is better for the skin and it stays on all day too.
It's also so light I dont feel like I'm wearing anything.
Sorry if I sound a bit evangelical about it :rotfl: I suppose I am a bit!
  • I can't live without my Liz Earle skincare. I use the cleanse and polish followed by the skin tonic as it smells so fresh and clean then the skin repair moisturiser. Absolutely fantastic.
I think Bare Escentuals make up is also great - mineral based and looks fresh instead of "caked on" effect you can sometimes get - i discovered this about 12 months ago and use their make up together with some high street make up products.
