Hi, does anyone have the current email address for the County Court Business Centre to email a Defence too? I've used the template defence on here and emailed it twice using the email address on the thread, and also using another version which it states on google. I've sent it twice to each email address and still not received any acknowledgement of receipt. I sent them over 1 hour a go. Thanks

Are you using Gmail? If so, try using a different email agent. The auto response should be immediate.
The address is ccbcaq@justice.gov.uk1 -

You don't need advice for the next 2 months while you await your DQ (as per the first 12 steps covered in the Template Defence thread).
BUT:
Please come back in August to join us as we discuss the expected update from the Government to reinstate the statutory Code of Practice. There will only be a few weeks for respondents to supply their evidence to the DLUHC and tell them that the added £70 MUST BE BANNED and PCN levels capped lower, to encourage more people to pay or appeal parking charges in future, and to break the link to bulk litigation .
If you want to change the law, come back.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, I forgot all about this as I hadn't heard anything more, but I've just received a directions questionnaire in the post and it says I need to send it back by 16th Oct! With it being a weekend tomorrow I need to sort it asap today. Has anything changed based on the last comment about the statutory code of practise or do I still just follow the guidance in the newbies thread? Also 3 points I wanted to ask please.
1 - If it goes to a hearing is it possible to request a video hearing? I currently have severe anxiety and a type of agoraphobia which I'm undergoing CBT for on the NHS. The thought of attending a court makes me start to panic and feel unwell now let alone on the day. I'd probably not make it inside or I'd just be useless in there if I did.
2 - What happens if you accept mediation, do they ever agree a lower amount, e.g if I offer to pay the initial lower charge they give you 14 days to pay before the increase and before any additional charges? I know everyone says to fight it as most win, and I dont want to pay them anything. But honestly the thought of court is too much and due to other ongoing things I wont even have much time to spend on a good witness statement.
3 - If I do continue to fight this, is it too late to do an SAR now? This charge was from over 2 years a go so I dont even remember most of what's happened
Sorry for the long post. Thank you0 -
Don't even consider mediation. It is a total waste of time and does not affect anything if you refuse it. You can SAR the PPC if you need more information that you may have mislaid over the years.
There is no need to panic about a hearing. In the vast majority of cases, the judge will understand that this is not a normal environment for you and will try to explain everything as it goes on. It is not what you are probably imagining is something out of Rumple of the Bailey. Just you, the claimants rep and the judge in a side office at the courts.

If this is a DCBLegal claim you won't even have a hearing. Which solicitor? Which PPC?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry I've re read all the posts today, I did see about an email address but then saw a comment saying it must go by post. I'll check again.
It's Civil Enforcement Ltd (no solicitors mentioned)0 -
Lovely and you'll have read about Civil Enforcement Ltd v Chan which I suggest you ALSO attach to your email to the CCBC and CEL, asking in the body of your email for the allocating Judge to dismiss the claim as per the Chan appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
