I would say the problem is with GE Money.....quite a few of the posters have Lloyds accounts but atleast one has a A&L account......were all the payments made online on the 5th?

    Barclays online banking here.

    Payment on the 4th.

So that's at least 3 banks all with payments mysteriously going astray about the same time.

Hmmm. How much is 0870? Good job I dialled the "International Helpline" as a free local number.

    IF for me.

It's obviously nothing to do with the banks, and not just payments on the 5th as they told me.
  • Anybody heard anything from GE Money yet?.

No nothing. Only the phone call to ask for payment ! (as mentioned by Balsingh)

It does worry me a little that they phone up to ask for payment despite me phoning them up about the problem the previous day. Surely the account would be marked as so in some way

Anyway, made my next payment due by cheque at the bank. Don't know if that's going to be any better though.

Add me to the list, Halifax online banking, sent on the 5th.
No reply from GE Money yet.
  • Looks like they have found my payment after I checked my balance using their automated phone system. The interest they charged me still appears to be there though.

called them yesterday. the payment arrived late due to their systems. they have told me that they have cleared all the late payment fees & interest charges and that the balanc is zero. Until I see the next statement to clarify that, I'm not 100% convinced.
