Parking company and bailiffs claiming for CCJ that came to court but no judgement made
Comments

If the claim was already filed (which it was) the date of parking event isn't relevant. It's not timed out because the 6 years doesn't apply once a claim was filed, but is also not a CCJ, and the case is stayed (which daft CEL have overlooked) so it can be safely ignored.
You could complain but that would alert CEL to un-stay the case! So ignore it.
But come back in a couple of weeks please because you can use this unreasonable case as evidence to present to the Government who are asking for evidence any week now.We will be all over it here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The claim was issued in 2018, so five years ago. I suppose the question is are they likely to finally provide the particulars asked for by the court after five years and resume the case? Is a judgement likely to be made after five years? If so will I be informed by the court or the parking company?KeithP said:
You can phone the CCBC on 0300 123 1056, have your email address ready and ask them to send you the Particulars of Claim and state the date when the County Court Claim was issued.judytzuke said:
Direct Collection Bailiffs Limited.Fruitcake said:Again, what was the date of the alleged parking event?
When you say DCBL bailiffs, do you mean DCB Limited, or DCB Legal Ltd?
The date of the alleged event was summer 2017 I think, but it's so long ago I don't remember sorry. Civil Enforcement took it to County Court Business Centre in 2018. I filed a defence. They were ordered to provide particulars of the place where the alleged event took place, but they didn't so no judgement was made, though the case is not closed.
Then you will know what they are talking about and be able to tell us the date of the alleged parking event.
This is quite important.
As I said earlier, they are unable to pursue a claim through the courts after six years.0 -
You would be informed if the case resumed, but it sounds like they've forgotten about it, which is why I say don't tip them off.
If you move house you would have to tell the court, to update where they would contact you, but that is it. DO NOTHING...
...but see you in August @judytzuke because you need to 'Stay with me till the Dawn' of the imminent announcement from the DLUHC (which I already told you about, above).

Thanks for the helpful advice and reassurance. I have now had another letter from the bailiffs, telling me their client has obtained a CCJ against me and requesting payment. I am going to ignore that too.Coupon-mad said:You would be informed if the case resumed, but it sounds like they've forgotten about it, which is why I say don't tip them off.

Which bailiffs? How much are they seeking? Do they quote a court reference number in their letter?judytzuke said:

DCBL. They quote a court ref number in their last letter which I checked and found the court asked for details which the parking company never provided, so though the case is still open no decision has been made.Umkomaas said:

Is it about the same Claim number?
Yes, the same claim number, with the same date claimed for supposed CCJ. Surely if there had been any progress I would be informed by the court?Coupon-mad said:

Just got ANOTHER threatening letter from the bailiffs! Any news of the DLUHC announcement that you mentioned?Coupon-mad said:You would be informed if the case resumed, but it sounds like they've forgotten about it, which is why I say don't tip them off.

Yes it's in the thread about it from 5 weeks ago. It is a current thread on page one with DLUHC in the title.
