Again, what was the date of the alleged parking event?

When you say DCBL bailiffs, do you mean DCB Limited, or DCB Legal Ltd?
Direct Collection Bailiffs Limited, working for Civil Enforcement. The alleged parking event was some time in 2017. It's so long ago I don't know exactly when. They went to County Court in 2018. I filed a defence. The court ordered them to provide details of the place. They didn't. But they wrote to me in 2022 claiming a CCJ had been ordered against me. When I checked the court said there was no Judgement made because the claimants had not provided the details they'd been asked for. CE said they were looking to get me before the court, but now a bailiff letter has come instead. I'm at the end of my 2 weeks to respond to the bailiffs and wondering if I should tell them to pause it as there is no CCJ.

    Just ignore cel/dcbl
Is it really better to ignore them than to phone them and say there is no CCJ so they don't take 'enforcement action'?

The date of the alleged event was summer 2017 I think, but it's so long ago I don't remember sorry. Civil Enforcement took it to County Court Business Centre in 2018. I filed a defence. They were ordered to provide particulars of the place where the alleged event took place, but they didn't so no judgement was made, though the case is not closed.

The chances of you speaking to any PPC by telephone is well nigh-on impossible. Even should you get through, what are you going to say to a thug who only wants your money, realises he's got you worried, and the prospects of dipping his hands into your bank account increase with the more aggressive threats he uses.

We never recommend phoning a PPC, you just won't win!

Direct Collection Bailiffs Limited are powerless debt collectors and can safely be ignored.

Never ever 'phone a PPC or their agents.

Given that CEL's Head of Legal is ex-WONGA, it's hardly surprising they are operating this way!

Thanks everyone. Good job I didn't do what the CAB told me to do (phone the bailiffs)!

You can phone the CCBC on 0300 123 1056, have your email address ready and ask them to send you the Particulars of Claim and state the date when the County Court Claim was issued.
Then you will know what they are talking about and be able to tell us the date of the alleged parking event.

    This is quite important.
As I said earlier, they are unable to pursue a claim through the courts after six years.
