@Coupon-mad, spent the last three hours looking at different threads and WS samples - including the Newbies one. But none of them appear to be relevant to this specific case. I was looking for overstay and very high fine rates samples. Can you please advise or point to any samples that are relevant and I can leverage?
Didn't want to take something completely unrelated as the Claimant has already made a statement that the defendant seeks to defend the claim on the basis of a generic defence of the internet.

Your witness statement is supposed to support and back up, with evidence, what you put in your defence. The exemplars are given as guides to format and style, you just put your own words that support your defence. You then add evidence.

You use (and adapt) one of the 5 linked in the NEWBIES thread. They are relevant.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Almost there, have finalised my witness statement and supporting evidence - thank you all for your support.
Can someone please advise the Email Id that I need to use to send the statement across to the court, I had seen it whole going through the site, but can't seem to find it now and don't want to send to the wrong email.0 -
This will help you find the details you want providing you know which court you requested: --

Hi,
I had my big day at the court today and went in all prepared to fight my case - there was no representation from the claimants side and the judge explained to me that he was striking down the claim on a technicality as the claimant had not submitted their witness statements by the due date and there was no further action required. He did ask me if I wanted to claim for my expenses and I politely declined.
Wanted to say a Big thank you to this wonderful group and all the useful advise and suggestions from here - this win would not have been possible without your support.
Let's keep up the good fight !!
regards,
