Smart Meter from British Gas

Hopefully the OP will do the meter sanity test and let us know. The bill that was originally posted showed identical smart and customer readings for different dates, and the customer reading was not the reading the OP submitted online, nor was it close to the current reading. The bill meter number does match the one the OP is reading, but of course that doesn't mean it's the right meter for the flat.
That's the best I can recall from what was posted!

I have checked meter numbers tally and they do. I feel that it is a human error. The meter is for my flat. Cadent came to replace some piping earlier in the year and so the gas was off for approximately 30 minutes. But this problem was happening long before. It began after BG installed a smart meter to my property. I feel that someone at BG is not entering the readings that I send.0

Still do a sanity check on the electric meter to prove the case is the same with that. If all the meters are together, look for an electric meter showing the reading they are billing you for. It hasn't changed, so could be a different meter linked to an empty flat.
Doesn't explain how the serial numbers correspond with the bills, but no harm in looking!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. One time earlier in the year, yes, I submitted a reading of 00064. This appeared on the appropriate bill. After that I submitted electric readings of : - April 00139; May 00234; June 00316. I have suggested to them in the past that maybe the wifi or whatever they use is not giving them the readings. I am still waiting to hear back about that0

You could try installing the Bright app on a smartphone. It requires a code off your IHD (if you have one) to register, but should then show usage from the DCC, who also provide data to the suppliers. Doesn't show you readings, but will show usage over 90 days, so will confirm it the communications is functioning at the meters.

Meter was installed in January 2023. All the readings for electric read the same 00064 from April - June2023 despite my submitting meter readings to BG0

It says our read- 00064 the lower down your read-00064. And that was not what I submitted0

I have done all I can to accommodate them. I now await them getting in touch and maybe sending someone out. I don’t think it’s the meter even though it is not sending them readings. They are somehow not dealing with my submitted readings. I would like someone from B
G to let me know whether I am being overcharged or undercharged.0 -
