    Lost :(
Thankfully just parking ticket and costs.

Apparently having the term about BB is discriminatory, but enforcement makes it reasonable and necessary to have.

Tough luck. When you say "costs", do you mean just the £35 court fee and fixed solicitor costs of £50. Did the judge reject the false "damages" of £60-£70?

Yes. Damages were dismissed. They tried to claim additional expenses for unreasonable behaviour- apparently one cannot decline mediation?! Judge wasn’t having it. Court fee, trial fee, 4% interest and £50 solicitor cost.

Silver lining, he was a human rights Dr- would’ve cost a small fortune, and we were there for 5 hours. Definitely cost more than my total costs.

A word of caution: Hearings never go the way you think. Be prepared for a Judge who is against you from the start, which can happen.
That happened then?  I had s feeling it would but I'm really sorry you lost.

Who was a Human Rights Dr, the barrister?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Coupon-madYes, barrister knew the judge from a number of human rights/employment cases they had seen them at. 100% a Dr.

    Typical David and Goliath scenario.

@Coupon-mad The judge said something at the end about not giving legal advice. But if I paid within 14 days or 21 days I could get the CCJ removed and gave a date of 1st of September, I thought it was 1 month after payment?

Sorry you lost and all they won was a case.  £185 plus 4% interest. ?

NOT MUCH TO SPLIT BETWEEN 3 PARTIES IS IT.

Makes no sense to employ a very expensive cavier eating barrister for a peanut return

We've seen other cases where a Judge has directed payment to be made within a different timescale to the usual '1 month'. Given it has to be paid, do it by the directed date, otherwise a CCJ is slamming its way into you, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you, that's 6 years of unmitigated financial catastrophe.

Sorry to hear you weren't successful in defending the case.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
