The most information I've found so far is from, of all places, The Sun (!!).

"Right now, 29million customers on the standard variable tariff (SVT) pay roughly 30.1p per kilowatt hour (kWh) for electricity and 7.5p per kWh for gas.

A standing charge of 52.97p for electricity per day and 29.11p for gas per day is also applicable.

But Fuse Energy's new tariff charges customers 29.31p per kWh for electricity and a daily standing charge of just 44.3p."

Presumably those are national averages like the rates given for the SVT - but naturally it would be far too much to expect journalists of that calibre to actually specify …

At least it’s competition for the other rip off merchants. Especially on the standing charge.  I’ll see what they announce for the E7 tariff later.

Out of interest, I just went on to the Fuse website and for my postcode (Eastern Region) was quoted .3025 kWh and standing charge .3099 including VAT. So, a bit less on unit price and about 10p a day less on standing charge.
However, cannot have the app as I don't use a working mobile. So I'll just be staying with Octopus and who knows how long Fuse might last anyway?

On the site it says they ask for your birthday so you can have free energy on that day!!

I'm saving up my wash-loads for the tumble drier, as a birthday present to myself
