Why? Are you going to be one of the thousands of gullible victims that poop their pants at the mere threat of legal action and the words "CCJ" and "bailiffs" and end up paying the scammers (more than they ever would if they went to court and lost) and thus becoming a part of the problem by funding the scam?cosslog10 said:
Does this mean I do nothing? I really don't want the hassle of court
Why are you even here if you are not prepared to fight these scammers just because the going gets a little bit difficult? You have all the assistance and advice you need to successfully defend against these scammers.
There is nothing worse than reading about someone who would rather fund the scammers than fight them at their own game... civil contact law. Over 99% of the cases advised on are either won or discontinued before they ever get to court.
Consider this a valuable life learning experience that you can pass on to all your family and friends. The implication that I didn't respond to this letter and that causing further action, no I don't want that.. but I have followed the advice here and the main reason I'm so annoyed is because I followed the appeals procedure and they have gone against their own policy. I am following the process laid out - it doesn't mean I want the hassle of court, I don't. I don't want them to get away with it either.I think you misinterpreted what I said by extrapolating what actions I would or wouldn't take next0 -
Ah good, you didn't mean you were thinking of paying them to avoid court, then! Phew!
Let us know how the complaint goes. It should get you a POPLA Code - not that POPLA are any good!

Well, that's good to know. I apologise if you feel I misinterpreted your intent. We spend many hours every day assisting victims of these scammers. When we hear comments about "just paying to avoid the hassle", it stings.cosslog10 said:

Court needn't be a "hassle". You don't even have to physically attend a hearing. You can request a telephone or video link hearing if that would make you more comfortable... should it ever get that far. Of course, it is much better if you can physically attend but if needs must...

MP has been very quick to respond. Moto have responded saying they can pass on the details to nexus but can't deal with it themselves - not sure they need to contact nexus since I already have?

Moto are trying to shower you with bovine excrement. They are jointly liable for the actions of their agents. Go back to them and ask which one of them, Moto or the PPC is the Monkey and which one is the Organ grinder.1

MOTO used to cancel these. Then they backtracked. Tell them you know this. Ask why they U-turned and why MOTO thinks you are less worthy than patrons in 2019 who saw their rip-off fake fines cancelled with apologies.cosslog10 said:MP has been very quick to respond. Ask MOTO in a REALLY robust response, who exactly is in charge, and why they are letting a discredited and rogue industry dictate what aggressive demands and legalese drivel is sent to MOTO patrons. And did they know that the Government is about to come down on these 'protection racket style' operations like a ton of bricks, in the new Private Parking Code of Practice update this month?Copy in your MP so they might take notice and learn something about the Code of Practice too.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Still no response from GroupNexus. Moto only saying they can pass on the complaint but they can't assist in the matter.
