Tulo Energy UK Cheapest Energy

We've had several threads on the forum from customers who didn't fully understand the tariff information before signing up and thought they were on a fixed rate tariff, not a cap tracking one.
Exactly. A supplier can call a tariff anything that it likes and, over the years, we have seen some very bizarre tariff names. What matters are the detailed terms and conditions attached to a particular tariff.

Much of the blame for confusion lies with dozy Ofgem. The use of the word 'Fixed' can be very confusing because it can relate to the DD type OR to the rates. The term 'Fixed Direct Debit' should be banned because many people wrongly think it's All You Can Eat. It should be replaced by 'Equal Direct Debit'. Contracts can then be 'Fixed Rate, Fixed Term' or 'Variable Rate, No End Date.'0

New to the forum just wanted to know if anyone has used a company Tulo Energy. A friend of mine told me they've launched a Tracker tariff at £1999 so below the price cap
I've been on the site and the only way to get the price seems to be with a code my friend gave me (Removed by Forum Team)
Has anyone used this company before? - seems from what I can see to be the cheapest deal for energy currently
Thanks

Standing Charge in my region is 1p per day cheaper than maximum SVR = £3.65 per year less.
Noting that you refer to a saving of £20 per month, by my calculations based on my region someone would need to use 4000 kWh electricity per year to save £16 per year based on unit rate reduction of 0.40p kWh, ( Typical average electricity usage is currently regarded as being 2900 kWh per year)

I will stick with the same supplier that I have been with for the last 5 years. My gas price today is 3.7p/kWh.0 -

Electricity standing charge is a fraction of a penny per day cheaper based on my region 51.41p compared with maximum SVR 51.42p, unit rate 0.40p kWh cheaper, gas unit rate 0.47p kWh cheaper

Quote page has changed since I posted, now requires postcode instead of selecting region and now quotes dual fuel
I have just emptied the browser cache and the page has indeed been updated. I see that Tracker now comes with the caveat that prices can change: 'Rates are Variable and may change with 10 Days Notice'
FWiW, I am not seeing significant savings compared to my supplier's non smart tariffs"
Electricity:
30.27p/kWh and 61.82p/day Standing charge (Tulo)
31.78p/kWh and 60.18p/day Standing Charge (Octopus)
Gas:
7.18p/kWh and 29.11p/day Standing Charge (Tulo)
7.71p/kWh and 27.47p/day Standing Charge (Octopus)
I hope that the OP has not fallen into the lower monthly payments trap?
