Hi all,
I used the template on this forum to respond to a claims form from dcb legal. The court has given us a hearing date. I have now received a letter from dcb legal, asking me to call them to try and settle the matter to avoid further potential costs being incurred. Is it advisable to call them?
Thanks

DO NOT PHONE OR CONTACT DCBL
Wanting to settle is the game they play. It is a big joke, but we play the game better than DCBL could ever do.
Guess you are not a mug ..... DCBL are mug hunting again, THEY THINK YOU ARE
DCBL don't want to go to court because they have a duff case, nothing to do with saving money, more saving their own face in front of a judge
Be very patient, better for them to get more egg on their face with a discontinuation than a judge giving them a spanking and you claiming your costs ?
Enjoy this little game .... WAIT

Errr...only if you've filed & served your WS & evidence bundle in time, given you have a hearing Order telling you to do so.Cody_09 said:Thanks B789. I have just read the thread. I'm glad I checked it out with you guys.

Full story is that DCBL got a CCJ against me while I was on holiday. I succeeded in having the CCJ set aside. The judge then told me to send my response to the original Claims pack. Hearing date has now been set and I have not sent any further documents to court. I have not been told to either.0 -
Show us the Hearing Order (redacted at the top). Including page two where it tells you (should tell you) your deadline to file & serve evidence.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I will do that. Btw, just noticed that page two does give a deadline to file and serve evidence.Coupon-mad said:Show us the Hearing Order (redacted at the top). Including page two where it tells you (should tell you) your deadline to file & serve evidence.0 -
Exactly. That's why I advised you to look again, because you'd insisted "I have not been told to either."
I think you need to re-read the NEWBIES thread section headed in RED CAPITALS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
