Also, is it the case that transactions made 30 Sep but that show as completed on your account with a date of 1 oct wouldn’t count?
For the £5 yes, the T&Cs dont mention it for the £75 but it would be logical to assume its the same

2.3 We’ll count payments based on the date the money is taken from your account. This is usually within 5 working days from the day you make the debit card transaction, but sometimes can be longer. You can tell when money is taken from your account by looking at your transactions online or on your statement.

Did the previous switch offer (the one with 31 AUG deadline) and now got my £125. Re the further £75, I know I have to do 5 debit card transactions per month. But can someone remind me about this thing to do with £5 cashback pm for 20 debit card transactions - I couldn’t see in the switch offer t and c? Thks
The £5/mth cashback for making 20 debit card transactions part isn't to do with the switching offer itself. TSB currently have an offer (it's been running for a while now) in which they give you £5 cashback for each month you make 20 debit card transactions (can be debit card deposits into a savings account if you wish) for the first 6 months if you open a spend and save account. See:

    https://www.tsb.co.uk/current-accounts/cashback/
Thanks, will see if I can squeeze 15 into the next week then.
NS&I Direct Saver useful for this, £1 payments no problem and easy to withdraw.

Of no use to you for this month (unless you already have one) as they take 7-10 working days to set up.

And £1 top-ups of Amazon Gift Card balance.
NS&I need 10 clear days before they'll allow you to withdraw debit card deposited funds. Some building societies will allow quicker access to debit card deposits, although at least one (Skipton) has been known to take exception to such activity.
Family Building Society accept £1 debit card deposits and you can withdraw them the same day. They also pay competitive rates on their easy access saver accounts.

Has anyone received the extra £75 yet ?
I know it says by 31st March but if you've done everything needed does it get paid earlier?

In previous TSB switching offers they've paid everyone en masse so I imagine they'll do the same this time around and pay everyone at some point in March regardless of how quickly they've met the terms of the offer.
  • Ooh, I forgot about the extra £75.

I doubt that they will pay out until after the 28th Feb which is the deadline for people making their 5 debit card payments this month

Am I right in thinking the £5pm for 20x debit card transactions last for 6 months from opening the account?

That's correct. After 6 months or perhaps after the incentive is paid you can upgrade to the Plus account (no real benefit imho) and you will get the 5er each month. They do charge a £3 fee so net profit of £2/month or £24 a year.

Yes, but remember you need 5 debit card transactions each month between September and February in order to stay eligible for the £75. In my case I did 20 x £1 payments in Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec and Jan, but just 5 debit card payments this month.

Everyone eligible will be paid at the same point, probably in the week or two before Easter. We're still within the qualifying window until the end of this month, so it definitely won't be before then.

    Thanks for the reminder.

I stopped using it once the 6 month fivers finished 🤦‍♂️

    Criteria renewed.
