  • I noticed their rate had risen on Sunday and they hadn't notified me this time round, so I logged in and messaged them a request to move me to the Issue 36 account.  They notified my this afternoon that it has been done.

Shawbrook are painfully slow at taking money in and out of savings accounts.
In my experience, they invariably process deposits & withdrawals within their published timescales.

Published timescales are a completely separate topic. The speed of in-and-out funds are the issue. They are very slow. One day to send money back and forth is like something from 2005. Should be instant.

Published timescales aren't a separate topic - if they're detailed in the account T&Cs, then anyone who opens an account knows what to expect and has no grounds to complain, provided payments in and out stick to these timescales.

In terms of payments into their accounts, Shawbrook state in their general account T&Cs that 'All amounts received electronically by Us before the end of a Working Day are cleared on the day of receipt, and interest is calculated from that day.' In my experience, payments into my Shawbrook accounts usually take between 1 and 4 hours to be credited so, if anything, they have actually been quicker than expected. I have other savings accounts which are instant and some which take longer (even next day) and, while it would be great if they were all instant, it's very easy to just plan accordingly.

I've made numerous withdrawals from my Shawbrook EA, without any problems - I've always used the 'Withdraw Money' option; I've never had to send a secure message for a withdrawal.
How odd, this is what I see when logging in with a laptop.  No withdrawal option on either quick links or in the requests tab. There was me just thinking that their systems are even worse than they apparently are.

Odd. Have you tried turning off any  ad/pop-up blockers, or tried a different browser?

Have just tried that, and it's the same on the ipad as well.  Time to contact them, I think.

I’m glad Tandem have matched Shawbrook, as deposits and withdrawals are faster and easier.
