Shawbrook easy access 4.35%

I just noticed that Shawbrook is up to 4.35% on their easy access account, but as a new issue "Easy Access Account Issue 36" rather that applying it to existing accounts as they did the last few times. They now have a special message category as well, something like "Update account issue".

Yes and if you use that message option for changing to the latest issue, they seem pretty quick to implement it. Took less than 30 minutes for me.

I wouldn't have expected them to respond on Sunday, but as of COB Monday they still haven't.

Sent a request via message option to change from issue 35 to 36 yesterday morning - text received almost immediately saying request would be reviewed.  Just logged in and account not yet updated to issue 36.  Anyone else trying to do likewise and have had more success?

The text is an auto-response, it does not mean something is physically happening. They are probably dealing with a lot of these requests. It's only been a day. Did mine last week. Can't recall how long. They will be working their way through the list.

Sent mine yesterday, nothing happened yet.
Out of interest, does anyone else have to send a secure email to Shawbrook to get a withdrawal processed for their easy access account?  On their website, it says withdrawals can be made by going to the requests tab and selecting withdrawals, but all I have is a 'pending withdrawals' section with no option to request anything.  Not sure if everyone else sees the same or if I'm missing the withdrawal option for some reason.

Shawbrook are painfully slow at taking money in and out of savings accounts. They badly need to speed up their computer systems.

I've made numerous withdrawals from my Shawbrook EA, without any problems - I've always used the 'Withdraw Money' option; I've never had to send a secure message for a withdrawal.

    For online accounts
You can submit a withdrawal request online via our eSavings portal. Simply log in, then go to the ‘request’ tab in eSavings. Select either ‘withdraw’ if you want a specific sum or ‘closure’ if you wish to withdraw the full amount

I certainly have a 'withdrawals' option, but I tend to use the 'quick links' route.

In my experience, they invariably process deposits & withdrawals within their published timescales.
