It would appear thar tv channels can't keep up with advances in TV technology

How many programs are broadcast in 4k ? Is there any programs broadcast in 8k?

Is there any content available in 8k (anybody know?)

I have a 12 year old samsung fhd telly which I refuse to change until it dies , maybe by then 4k programmes might be the norm, probably be 32k tvs available by then!
8k and 12k content is available, in limited amounts, with streaming (mainly YouTube) plus if you are in Japan then NHK has a 8k channel

Many of us dont watch so much Freeview etc these days and when you look at services like Netflix, Disney+, AppleTV etc there is a significant amount of 4k content.

Less and less people are watching linear TV now. Plenty of 4K content out there just not where you've been watching for the last 86 years....
2012 saw the launch of both 4k and 8k tellys and 16k tellys have existed since 2019

Still think tv companies are keeping up with advances in TV technology?
