Any Suggestions - Help with this situation - People Parking on white H markings on a dropped Kerb

Options
Hi Everyone,

Need suggestion on this scenario.

Moved in the house in 2010,
in 2021 applied for a dropped kerb, council approved.

New driveway laid and kerb dropped as per planning permission after that asked the Highway Dept to put white H markings in front of our house on the road ,

The situation is getting out of control and the now the neighbors of both sides , their friends & relatives, delivery drivers, visitors has started to park the vehicles.

Its becoming extremely difficult for us to take the vehicles out of the driveway to join the road as our sight on both sides of the road is completely blocked and can lead to a accident.

Any suggestion on what can be done to resolve the problem will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You have my sympathies but if the neighbours are parking legally and not actually blocking your drive there's little you can do.

Where I live people have often parked both sides of our drive.  There's also a very very large old tree in front of the neighbours which blocks the view.  And there's a hedge that unless pruned a lot is quickly higher than my car.  Add to that that the road has become a bit of a rat's run with some traffic going by way in excess of the 30mph limit.  What helps me is always backing my car in so I have a bit of a chance to see what's coming.  When it's been really bad I'll put on my 4 way flashers to make it easier for speeding traffic see me.  Net result is that in over 5 years I've only had 1 serious near miss.  Knock wood that the lucky streak continues!!!

Presumably these vehicles are not on yellow lines or parked illegally. If they re not then I don't think there is anything you can do. My neighbour opposite has the same issue, he has to creep out.

This the the situation at the moment , cars parked on both sides.

I will reverse my car on the left side of my driveway.
The neighbor on the right parks on his entrance.every day. on the yellow line area in front of his house The vehicles parked on the road on left and right on the H markings keep coming on and off, some tines on the H markings , sometimes not.
Sometimes on both sides Long wheel base, high roof vans are parked.

Also please if someone can tell is it legal to park on the area  marked with the Yellow line on the picture in front of ones own house, keeping the footpath cleared, marked by the green line.

As parking on the yellow line marked area completely obstructs the view when on top there is another vehicle parked in front of that vehicle on the road.

Hope it helps better understanding the situation.

Parking across a dropped curb is an offence. I've been done for it!

Local police community officer? Council traffic warden?
