  • Hey, I tried to get this thread going again the beginning of the year but didn't really get any interest so I gave up, although I still actively try to do this. So I know it's late in the month but I'll join with the hope of taking my lunch to work for the rest of the month. So thats another 11 days.

  • Hello 👋

I used to lurk on this thread a bit as I am almost religious about not buying lunch at work (it involves going to a shop of some description as there is nothing on site but I’d rather take my own anyway) so hope it’s ok to join. I guess more people wfh means it’s less of a challenge these days.

I go into the office 2 or 3 days a week usually so 6 days for me for the rest of July. I think I’ve managed to do it for the early part of the month too 🙃

Just made vegetable noodle salad with a peanut butter dressing so should be ok for tomorrow, as long as I remember to take it with me.

Hello and welcome similar here. 2 days in the office usually though I did three last week

I'm back from a weekend away and lots of things not done but had an omelette which is one of the easy meals and:

taken soup out of the freezer,
chopped a tomato and a couple of smallish carrots
put them next to the yoghurta in the fridge.
    Lunch sorted 😋

Laptop and swimming bag next to the door and bed made.

The ironing and meal planning will wait!

    Afternoon,

Cheese type ploughman's roll (my Gregg's copycat version) with a cuppa soup for lunch today.

Hope everyone has had a great day today x

  • I remembered my peanutty vegetable noodles so 1/6 done.

I’m also on LO pasta tomorrow although I’m not “going” to work even though I’m working 😀
  • Day 2 of 11 for me today. Left over pasta from dinner last night. I also weirdly prefer it cold. I can't believe between me and DH we used to spend over £100 a month on lunches!!

Have to say chicken sandwich sounds nice as does ploughman's roll.  WFH today and planning on cooking turkey which was RTC at Lidl for salad, make one up to take to the office tomorrow.

Everyone is doing so well 😁

    Morning,

Had peanut butter toastie for breakfast courtesy of the office :)

I have left over broccoli and tomato quiche, with leftover sausages from the BBQ on Sunday and a Mug Shot Thai noodles,  I cut the sausages up and put them in with the noodles in a mug, it warms them through a bit.

Plus I've got a Ritz cracker dipper thingy.

This will also be day two this week that I will not have spent anything (rarity for me!)

    Everyone still doing well 😁

I didn't make more soup as planned as I unexpectedly had to go out.  Omelette for lunch whilst WFH and cooked turkey steaks and made up a boxed salad for tomorrow.  Just to not leave it in the fridge..m
