It is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle.

The defendant was not the driver.

    3. The driver drove into the area following the satellite navigation. The defendant did not utilise a bay whilst resetting the satellite navigation to leave. With limited legible signs the defendant was not aware of any restrictions.

Be very aware that whilst this is a civil case, perjury is a criminal offence.
  • you have until 4pm on Monday 24th July 2023 to file your Defence.
Looks like the DLUHC have not updated the statutory Parking Code of Practice yet but it might come next week.  Just in case of an early Monday Announcement you should wait till close to the 4pm deadline IMHO.
    Okay, sure. Thanks

    Hi guys
Think I've waited long enough for this deadline.
I can't see anything regarding DLUHC
    I've amended as appropriate
  • Just wanted to reassure everyone. My defence went in on time. I checked over all the points by keithp regarding submitting and got my acknowledgement email immediately after to confirm receipt

    Very good.

I expect the DLUHC update any day now because it was due 'before Summer Recess'.

  • Just to update. I've had a letter from the court to acknowledge and state that CEL have X days to respond.

I've also received my subject access request.

While your case is quiet ... we need evidence photos please!  From friends & family too.

We sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the private parking draft Impact Assessment by mid-September?  They did release the draft Impact Assessment ten days ago and it has some useful analysis.

    All discussed here:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6463361/dluhc-private-parking-code-government-launches-call-for-evidence-discussion-thread/p6

That's page 6 where I summarise what evidence is needed.

We need YOUR photo evidence please...but not of the car park in your claim.  Nope!

You want to help us change the law?

To be clear, we are nearly there; it's not a petition or some weak campaign, it's a final push on a law already passed, to cap the £PCN levels and ban the fake DRA fees.

The Government has a Call for Evidence open right now.

We are wanting photos of unmanaged car parks, Hospital car park signs near you that show £50 or £60 as the deterrent, and Aldi, Asda, Tesco or Sainsburys £70 signs please.

We need photo evidence of low or no deterrent car parks near you, please!

    NOT £100, NOT £90 or £80.

Just signs that are less - or places with no PPC.

    Thankyou!

    Direct you?? I don't understand.

Why not just follow the link in the post you are responding to?
Skip to the first page of that linked thread and follow the links in the opening post for all the information you are likely to need.

Thanks for responding. I followed the link and it went straight to page 6 which is an appeal for photos. I didn't realise its not all about the photo appeal.
I am doing my best to get the correct information and there's loads on here.
I'm also trying to prevent beratement about getting it wrong again.
