It's very frustrating when a company one deals with is so utterly stupid and useless.
I had a smart meter fitted on the 23 may and my online account says We're carrying out checks on your smart meter – please send us a reading.
I got in touch with them last week and they said that my smart meter is sending readings which was obviously a lie as the last reading they received was 3 and my meter reading was 18.0 -

I haven't contacted EDF because I know it will be futile. Delayed data is OK by me but I fear that EDF is not going to be smart enough to wait 2-3 days when they will generate the next bill ie they'll try to generate it on the spot at one exact time and because there is no current data their system will fail and my bill will be bu**ered. Oh joy...0 -

But the next day it had gone orange again asking for a manual reading.
As you say it will be futile calling them.
I think it may be time to move.0 -
Go to your smart hub on EDF website and click that chart or graph, you'll see how old or dated your data is. You can't escape the current smart meter nonsense by moving house, I'm happy just to give them readings manually over the internet as before.0

Sorry, it's called energy hub, just scroll down to see the data. In my case I can see numbers and £ signs from Saturday 22nd, for yesterday 23rd it says they're checking the data. So there's a delay. I thought this was supposed to be real-time.
I also got a phone call from EDF on Thursday, they didn't have a clue I already had the "smart" meters and wanted to make an appointment to install. Classic, left hand know knowing what right one does. No wonder it's a mess.0 -
EDF Hub is always delayed by a day or so.1

I don't have energy hub showing on my account, whether that's because I only have electricity with EDF or not I don't know but it's not on my account or in the app.0

The only good thing about EDF is that the final bill has appeared today - only 6 days after the switch -and it's correct !!0 -
Some minor developments in my smart meter escapades, my account at EDF now showing that both meters are working (but that seems to be intermittent, they could fall off the cliff any day) and that my next bill will be before 14th September (previous bill was 13th Feb).
Major hurdle will be if EDF realise my meters changed and thus meter numbers readings started from 0, also that the new gas meter is not imperial anymore. I'm not confident.
