Did anyone have any joy with Dyson? I have the exact same problem with my nearly 3 year old coralles and I'm loathe to chuck them without trying to fix. However they don't stay on long enough to do my hair anymore!0

Hi Heebeegeebee14
The same thing has happened to mine after the same amount of time. Did you get anywhere with Dyson. I'm hitting a brick wall with them.
Looking at online reviews, this looks to be a very common problem!0 -

The beauty of replaceable batteries is that you can replace them.
The problem with rechargeable batteries is that many of them can't be replaced0 -
From looking online, they have used four standard 18650 type cells, of the sort that are used in many gadgets. But they have solder tags spot welded on, so not a DIY job unless you're handy with a soldering iron.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Maybe take them to a Men’s Shed and see if they can do something with them.2

I'm curious to know has anyone been able to pursue Dyson legally by small claims or similar? I'm in the same situation where the Corrale battery failed just out of warranty and Dyson are offering either 25% off a new set (no chance!) Or I pay £90 for a "refurbished set"0

Why don't you take them to court?1 -
I didn't have to. I claimed thru charge back on my credit card providing them with email dialogue and original receipt. I got £233 back0

The reason I got £233 back was explained that I got 2 years of usage out of them before they went faulty.....and statutory rights cover you for 6 years under the consumer credit act section 750
