    I think Vodafone do

I can confirm that Vodafone do, and that it works as described - your wired phone handset plugs into a port on the Vodafone router.

No extra charges unless you make outgoing calls.

Always strikes me as odd and naive when people say that they get a telephone service provided for free (unless you make a call ) years ago when there was little choice but to use BT or Virgin , the complaint back then was why do I have to pay for a phone line I don’t want or use , my bill clearly would be less if I didn’t have to pay for this unwanted telephone service…eventually these companies removed the compulsory nature of having a phone service and you needed to opt in to the telephone service , but niw when some companies provide a supposedly free phone service (just pay for the calls ) many of the same people claim that it’s great getting a phone for free , without realising there is no such thing as free , if Sky and VF can provide phone and broadband for £30 (for example) some of that payment is paying for the phone service , therefore it’s unarguable that if the phone wasn’t included then the price would be less than £30 , yet there is no ‘outrage’ about having to take the phone regardless of wanting it or not , no on seems to say , remove the phone and let me pay less with these providers.

The problem with plugging in to the port on the supplied router is that you are probably then stuck with getting the phone service from that provider. Depending on your personal situation, you may prefer to buy your own router and get the phone service from a different supplier.

I had an very old router with dreadfully connection speed and old phone system with EE. Phone i was paying £11 a month. I contacted them about upgrading to the new router where I needed to plug phone in back. They quoted me more for the phone connection but said they could possibly do it for £12 a month. They wanted alot more to upgrade the broadband too. I looked into A&A to for the voip. In the end we scrapped our phone line and broadband with EE. Far cheap for me for the calls to have a mobile on payg.
