Ugh, housework day today, and still another day of it needed! I no longer have the energy to do all 3 storeys in one day lol.Got up early to go to walk the dog before we went to a flea market. Bought some bits for my business, and some bargainous butter from a trusted local trader who does all the markets in this area. Then cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen floor, wiped down the cupboards, cleaned the spare bedroom (we have the windows open to cool the house, and stuff had blown in. Also small GCs play in there and make a mess
). Got as far as half way down the second flight of stairs and had enough. I will do the rest of the stairs (I have loads) and the first floor tomorrow. OH can do the rest of the ground floor later in the week when I am at work.
Now sat with a glass of wine. OH is watching the tennis. He can help me cook the dinner once it is finished. Looking forward to it, as OH got steak out of the freezerGrateful for lovely local butter cheaper than Lidls, the prospect of a nice dinner, and getting a lot done.8 -

Went downstairs to collect my medicine. opened a tin of chicken soup and did salmon with peas, broccoli and kale (nearly like cooking but only slaving over a hot microwave). Finished with a small pot of blueberries and cream ice cream. Feeling restored but sure rest is the right thing. The sugar free throat sweets are okay - only had one as I wasn't at all sure about them.
Grateful for rest, good food with minimum effort, deliveries. Bonus - found a receipt in an old notebook yesterday (for money I've already given to my brother).9 -
Sending hugs @grandmanerd, hope you feel better soon. You do what's best for you @Toni'sfriend, your relatives will understand & they'll be happy to see you at the lunch.
NSD#7
I've taken all your advice on board & decided to do #75soft. Worth a try! Went for a 4.5mile walk with DH, absolutely poured it down 2 miles from home & guess who hadn't taken a coat?! Kept telling myself that it was good for my complexion 🤣
Unpicked some seams ready to alter 3 t-shirts tomorrow, read my book & did a bit of my rug. Managed to drink my 2 litres of water, surprisingly. Had a soak in the bath & pampered myself. Pleased with my self care day.
Grateful for lots of butterflies, a good book, pampering timeUse it up, wear it out

Good morning,
got some more painting done last night, but now that I have invested in proper gloss (which covers so much better) the place stinks. I better get this done before our trip so it can air out.
Great news, got a provisional offer to go onto a Masters in higher education teaching, just need a couple of signatures on a form and I'm good. It's over two years after work/during lunch and gets paid by my work. Can't wait to study again.
Today will be an NSD, lost count, will need to keep track of this better again. But accounts look ok this month
Late night update: was on a roll today and got almost 3 hours painting done, made amazing progress. Off to collapse into bedDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/2511 -

NSD no 12. You can accomplish quite a lot of these when you don't leave the house.
I like the 75 soft summer. Might try to have a go at that.
Lovely cousin has sorted lunch with the foreign visitors for next week. Somewhere local at a time when I won't fall asleep.
Had a nice surprise yesterday when the Boy dropped in with his girlfriend. They'd been to a christening, I haven't seen him for a few weeks as they are now living a bit of a distance away. What a lovely girl! Pleased he's found someone so nice who shares his interests and has taken him out of himself and introduced him to new people and going out and about.
So another early night. I'll be asleep by about six o'clockxxx

Well done @thriftylass. If you place half an onion in the room where you're painting, it'll absorb the smell.
Getting used to the new website, but no longer get notifications of the threads I'm following. Does anyone know how to remedy this?
Had a good day yesterday, took DH for a blood test. Had a look in some CS, bought 2 books & a top for me. Walked to the village & back on our return. Had a nap for half an hour, then spent the afternoon sewing. After tea & went with her friend to a charity prize bingo. We had lots of laughs, despite being squashed up, as there wasn't much room between tables! Didn't win, but made a nice change.
Grateful for a nice night out, managing all the 75soft targets again & getting things doneUse it up, wear it out
