Just a quick qu. Should you get acknowledgment from the county court in a similar way to CCBC? Thx0

Depends on the court but I would expect something from an automated system. Maybe just send a one line email as a check asking if it was received and see if you have an acknowledgment for that. If you do, you'll know something was wrong with your previous e-mail, too big or wrongly addressed for example. If you don't you will have to phone the court (on Monday) and ask.skoobimum said:Just a quick qu. Should you get acknowledgment from the county court in a similar way to CCBC? Thx2 -
So I have my hearing tomorrow! Rang & double checked as I honestly thought DCB would discontinue as is their style! But seems I’m not so fortunate & have to go through the full rigmarole. Am now feeling a bit nervous, any advice or pearls of wisdom welcome 🥲

Just three or four people sitting round a table having a discussion.2 -
I'd phone the court first thing and ask them to confirm that the hearing is still going ahead. There have been some recent cases where DCB Legal have discontinued, but failed to notify the Defendant, who duly turns up at the appointed hour, only to be told of the discontinuation by the court usher. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Over in the blink of an eye! Claim struck out referencing the Chan case & Jude Murch’s decision about CPR 16.4 & practice directives 16. Thank you soo much to everyone who helped me, in particular @Coupon-mad I definitely wouldn’t have known where to start without your expert advice & input 🙌🏻
pretty nerve-wracking experience though & not sure I’d want to do it again!Unlucky DCB Legal 😬8 -
Yay - well done you! Winner!

Yes but he barely got 3 sentences out! He was asked if he was familiar with the Chan case & to respond to that & he said the claim was issued before that decision & then the judge asked if he could have amended the POC & re-issued which he said they could but I obviously understood enough of what the claim was for to produce a 33 page witness statement & then she struck it out! 👍🏻5
