I recently registered for online banking to my bank. I’ve had branch account for years. Not many branches left. They sent me a letter with a PIN code under a tab. I lift off tab to reveal as instructed. All it revealed was a sticky mess under the tab. All the block out ink remains on the letter. No way to remove it. I cannot log in any which way without this. I’m so fed up. Thought it was supposed to be easy! I’ve messaged them but who knows whether I will hear back or when or even from a human! Has this happened to anyone else?

Lay the tab on something white and you will see the PIN number faintly2

Ok thank you. I can only see the last 2 digits. Anything before has black ink stripes and unable to read.0

Keep looking from different angles as it is sometimes very difficult to make out the 4 numbers1

I’ve tried and tried and I have good eyesight and I still can’t read the numbers at the beginning. It’s completely hidden by black stripes. 🤷🏻♀️0

I think I have managed to reorder a code but have to wait another 5 days to come through. At least I know it’s on the actual peel tab now and not on the paper.0

I've had those codes before and it's not obvious how you are meant to peel them off and read them. I seem to remember that it just had an arrow pointing at it on mine.
