with carphonewarehouse you can get VIRGIN SIM ONLY 6 months contract.
it costs £15 per month you get 150mints 150 text.
best bit is after 4 months you can claim back all £90 pound by sending your 4th airtime bill.
company like carphonewarehouse you should not have any problems for cashback. make sure you send you 4th airtime bill..
plus if you go through quidco you get £5 cashback from cpw for a sim only contract so you will be £5 in profit .0 -
[REMEMBER - this is a sim only deal, so you don't get a new phone every 12 months. That being said they give you an upgrade allowance for every £100 you spend. So changed mine a few weeks ago for a swanky Walkman phone which minus allowance and with P&P cost me £24! Not bad for an £70 phone.]
Dawn what do you mean by they give you an upgrade allowance for every £100 you spend with them?
I am a Virgin Media Customer (Home Phone & Broadband) and recently got the 300 + 300 SIM only deal for my wife. Your posting got me thinking about a new phone for her. How do you go about claiming this upgrade allowance.
Cheers

make sure your sim registered online and then on the left hand menu choose red for rewards - then it will show you that you will have £10 off a new phone per £100 you have spent with virginmobile.{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature please contact the Forum Team}0 -
Thanks for that, i tried ringing last night but didn't get through as the computers had crashed for the last few days and virgin have extended the offer until the end of Jan because people couldn't get through -thankfully!
Saves us quite a bit of cash - cheers! :T0 -
Just a note, if you are getting this deal for a son or daughter, get Virgin to set the cut off spending limit as low as possible. I thought 300 minutes and 300 texts a month was enough for anyone.
My cutoff was set at £150, I've now got a bill for over £200 for December. Winner winner, Chicken dinner.0 -
I've been arguing the same point with Virgin all day, they say it's only a guideline. So if you set the limit to £50, you could end up paying £100, which is better than £200, I suppose.Winner winner, Chicken dinner.0

Cheapest option is to get this deal for £15.50p

even though you dont want phone. Then add £10 sim only deal.0 -
Hithree questions on this:
1) do the triple minutes/texts last beyond the end of december 2007?
2) is it possible to transfer an existing virgin mobile number to this sim (whether by PAC or some virgin internal method)?
3) surely you must have to give some notice to cancel? like 30 days or something?
the t&cs on the website are very unclear on these points. thanks in advance if anyone can help!
called virgin mobile. The offer has been extended to end of Jan 2008. If you take a phone ( 100 mins and 100 texts per month and a nokia 5200 it is a 12 months contract) other wise they say you can quit when you want. Hope this helps.
