    Good afternoon forumites
I have now received a reply from the Total Parking Solutions to my appeal. They say that as a gesture of goodwill they cancelled the parking charge for passing through the car park, but do not accept any charges. They advised me to liaise with their Data Protection officer regarding the GDPR charges.

    Thank you @GraceCourt , @Half_way, @KeithP and @Coupon-mad for your support

    Great stuff.

Now I would make a formal complaint to their DPO and/or on their Complaints Policy link, that they obtained your DVLA data 'without reasonable cause' and that you will report them to the ICO for operating a surveillance camera in a way that is excessive, unjustified and unreliable, in that it takes images of cars that simply drive through.  This is turn makes the harvesting of DVLA data unlawful because there is no parking event and the parking firm needs to add an 'exempting' camera at the cut-through exit that was used.

Hi @Coupon-mad . Thank you for your advice. I am very happy to continue with this case, as I am not happy about the way that TPS obtained my data. Could you please advise me on the wording of the letter to their DPO?
