of course my parcel arrived today, a little battered and after I've already bought a replacement! Thank you Pricestorm . I will not be using you again.0

Amazon have been utterly fantastic this year. I placed orders on 15th, 16th and 19th December with free super saver delivery. This was for a total of 19 packages/deliveries. On the 19th December I received an email to say that I should not panic about receiving any parcels late and that they were upgrading the delivery option to get the parcels to me as fast as possible.
I was not expecting any of the 19th December order to come before christmas as it was after the ordering cut off date. Anyway here I am on christmas eve, with all orders fulfilled- thats 19 deliveries in one week!
Well Done Amazon! I'm one very happy customer!July Win: Nokia 58000 -
PLAY.COM ordered hard drive had confirmation email to say dispatched, took money from a/c, del promise was 3/5 days, did not arrive so rang up and they said they were out of stock. still no refund.
friend had same with tv he ordered but when he rang they said they would send another one and when that did not turn up he rang again and they said that tv had been out of stock for three months, he still has not had his refund three weeks since first order now.0 -

I did get my stuff from Amazon too so they did it for me.
Is it mainly Play.com that people are having the problem with?Gordon Brown ate my hamster0 -

according to their site we have to wait 21 days before they will do anything. there is a link on the page with the info about a particular order and when you click it it says to go back to that page after 21 days. i have to wait until 5th january. it is daft because my order was for a play and charge kit for my wireless xbox 360 controller. what if the current batteries run out before then. i also saw that in several shops today the thing has been reduced in the sale to £3 less than what play.com charge.
i wonder were the fault lies? is it with royal mail or play.com? they did take longer than normal to send the despatched email.0 -
HMV have been a nightmare. I ordered a dvd box set on 2nd December, which was sent out on the 4th. 14 days later, no dvd and the last day for ordering at HMV in time for Xmas was the day before. I phoned up and said I would like a replacement and was told it wouldn't necessarily get to me before Xmas. I told them I had ordered it in good time to get to me by Xmas, so what were they going to do about it? Couple of minutes later, after being put on hold, they said they'd send it special delivery for me. Still took them two days to post it though!
Had another order from them that took 12 days. Play.com was variable - some arrived within a few days, a couple of things took around 10 days after saying they'd been despatched.0 -
I ordered 3 dvd's from hmv. They were sent out as separate packages but all on the same day. They arrived on different days....Monday, then a long wait to Friday and the last surfaced on Saturday.
Very weird.0 -
Sadly my order placed on 18th December with Amazon.co.uk using the free supersaver delivery (the last day to be guaranteed for Christmas!) only yielded one of three items :-(
It did say dispatched on the 21st for the package that hasn't arrived, yet the one dispatched on 22nd arrived on Christmas Eve. Anyone know of an e-mail I can contact?0 -
mine finally arrived today. of course not without another !!!! up by royal mail. i have only just got it a couple of minutes ago because the postman had delivered it next door. its a good job i dont have anyone dodgy living next door isnt it.
i cant believe how being someone who has a trade i wasnt considered good enough when i applied to work for royal mail years ago but our postman who cant even put the mail through the right door was considered good enough.0 -

Oh yes - your postie would probably want more money, less hours, better pension if you want it delivered to your own address. I am happy with this because I usually play a game when my postie puts a card through my door when I am miss a delivery thats carded. Its called 'guess' and you have to guess all the information that should go on a card because there is never any information on them i.e. which depot is the parcel going to etc etcGordon Brown ate my hamster0
