I am feeling so much brighter since yesterday and no headache today which is a Brucie bonus.
I was awake early but refrained from getting up until 6 when doogie decided it was wee and breakfast time.
I have so far
Walked dog (45 mins at 7am - a first for me)
Put a load of washing on - will be hung out shortly
Hoovered 1 x living room (other one completely cleaned last night)
Hoovered hallway, dining room and kitchen
Washed floors in 2 x living rooms, hallway, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and downstairs loo
Breakfasted and washed up
Fed the birds and squirrels (note to self go and get more nuts)
Now going for a shower as DS, DIL and DGS arriving at some point. Just when they thought they had an answer to their financial planning for the arrival of child #2 and the increase in mortgage payments of around £500 in December, her car dies big time, new engine likely required so they are looking to source another for her as her commute is almost 20 miles each way so they need 2 cars. I find it incredible that 2 youngers in their own home, in respectable positions (police officer at top of salary band and secondary school teacher) are seriously struggling with money and its not due to overspending as they is very frugal.
Lovely house Natty, I 'll bet you cant wait.
I'm guessing OH is still grieving Piggers and all you can do is be there in the background offering support when he needs it and keeping his bank cards under lock and key! I too have resorted to sleeping with the windows open and wake up daily with a fresh bit on my arm (the same arm each time so guess I must sleep with that one more exposed.
I've been looking at the cost of fans roundtuit as DD has a south facing bay window and her room yesterday was 35 degrees with the windows open and with blackout blinds so frequently has the fan on. It was less than I expected generally although I havent dont the actual calculations our fan.
Anyway I'm rambling now so enjoy your day and the sunshine
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!8 -
kaz - thank you 😋 I didn't think to research the cost. I may have a Mensa IQ but I can be sooo dense at times. Tis pence even if fan is on all day - which obviously becomes pounds eventually but not overnight.....so the fan has been retrieved from storage and is now fanning me.
I've pegged out my washing and completed my morning meditation. Pops phoned me half way through which was a jolt but he wasn't to know.
Coffee now.

The fan is waaaaaay less than the heating in winter and the unit cost is reducing from 1st July.. we have this rechargable one which Dot has at school.. it is quiet and lasts ages on one charge.. she uses it all day at school and it gets charged overnight. She is vile when she is hot.
I have discovered the best thing ever.. THESE .. place under the bed sheets.. instant chill.. I bought it for the cats but sod them!!I will get them another one! best thing.. no running costs
click and collect to pick up at 2 when we get the girls from dance class.

I spent 2 hours at the allotment trying to beat the sun and stay in whatever part was in the shade. Gave up at 10.30 and came home. I have made a fluttering attempt while the front of the house was still relatively shady. Bathrooms s&s, HHI. As I feel that I have now gone beyond the call of duty, I am intending to melt quietly for the rest of the afternoon.
See you all on the other side x7 -
Fan is making a huge difference. I'm no longer melting....which is a huge relief.
Five magazines read and recycled.
Watered my peace lily.
Lunch now 😋
