I'm switching from NatWest to Lloyds I started on the Thurs 8th June it's now Sat 17th June. I've not been able to use my NatWest debit card since last Wednesday.

I contacted Lloyds about the switch and they had an old mobile down for me which I've not used for 5 years. I've never been with Lloyds. So the adviser told me I had to go 7 miles away into branch to get my mobile changed. I changed it on the app in 2 seconds.

I rang them again and they said they'd put me through to the switcher team. Closed!

Rang again next day asked to be put through to the switcher team but instead spoke to another lacky who thought the switch would take place soon.

I was told yesterday to ring today Saturday and speak to someone on the switcher team if the transfer hadn't taken place by then.

Sure, enough still no transfer. Rang again today and the person said they’d put me through to the switcher team. I asked are they open. He had to check, yes, they are open I'll put you through...Lo and Behold...Closed!

What a Joke this rabble are. This is definitely the worst switch I've experienced so far.

You started the switch on 8th June?

Is your natwest account still open?

Are you able to login to the Lloyds website? can you see an account

You say you have never been with Lloyds, what about Lloyds TSB? the number must have come from somewhere.

    Hi Strict,

My NatWest acc is still open and they paid a DD the other day but I cannot make any transactions personally, not since last Wednesday.

I was able to setup my Lloyds app and can see my account but it's at nil. Well, it was it's now showing £16 overdrawn as I have used it twice going into my free overdraft up to £50. That's a first being overdrawn on a brand new acc lol.

I was with TSB around 1980 ish but have been with NatWest since 1985 and switched from them last year to First Direct which have been the best bank by far to deal with.

Switches usually take seven working days. Were you given a completion date for the switch? Why would your NatWest debit card cease functioning so soon? Have you tried speaking to NatWest? Have you ever been a customer of Halifax or Bank of Scotland?

    Hi Amity
Yeah don't know why this is taking so long and is a bumpy ride the last 2 went OK.
No completion date just the 7 days thing.
Don't know why Natwest have done this unless they are vindictive? lol.
Not tried speaking to natwest as they are pretty useless. Plus I keep thinking it must be today!
Never been a customer of Halifax or BofS

Last month when I switched to Lloyds I had to give my mobile number as part of the account opening and I had to choose the switch date, with the earliest date being 10 days away, which was confirmed by text or email. Did you do those things when you opened the Lloyds account? Have you had any emails form them?

I gave them my current mobile of 5 years when I signed up.
    No switch date was given.
I've had the standard emails about switching and to say my app is live and I'm now £26 overdrawn lol
