Registering with Shawbrook for transfering ISA from NS&I problem help

Hi I am going through the registration process with Shawbrook for their easy access ISA and when I get to the transfer request screen online they want either (both) a sort code AND account number (NS&I don't have sort codes) OR a roll number (which I dont think they have either)? So I cannot go any further with it. Someone else I'm sure must have had this problem so advise from anyone with experience of said issue would be much appreciated please. It doesn't fill me with confidence so far but could well be something I am doing wrong?

When I'm transferring an ISA from a bank or building society and the ISA doesn't have it's own sort code and account number (eg. you use the bank's details), I usually put my account number reference in the 'roll number' section on the transfer form. I don't know for certain that this is the answer to your particular problem, but it's something to consider.
One thing to bear in mind is that NS&I don't use the BACs ISA transfer service, so you're presumably going to need to post off a paper transfer form to Santander anyway, as the transfer will need your signature to proceed.1 -
Use the same details as to pay into the Ns&i ISA

Further to my previous post, I just checked back to a previous Shawbrook fixed rate ISA application which was funded by a transfer from Paragon and I did indeed leave the sort code and account number section blank (as these are generic to Paragon) and put my Paragon account (reference) number in the 'Roll number' field. This is often the only way to do it, when these account numbers contain letters and/or more than 8 digits (as is the case with Paragon account numbers). It's possible that I might have done it this way because the roll number section greyed-out once a sort code and account number were entered or I may have done it just to avoid any possible confusion caused by essentially having two account numbers on the application (I can't remember). Either way, I'm sure that Shawbrook are used to dealing with this common scenario.
My transfer completed electronically (as both providers use the BACs ISA transfer service) but your transfer will still require a paper form at some point. I would imagine Shawbrook will highlight this at some stage, so look out for that and also keep an eye on your online banking messages and emails as they may send you the form to print out yourself. (The transfer form I received via online banking did look like one that could have been printed out and signed, had this been necessary).0 -
I'm in the middle of a similar move, and did wonder about the reference needed, but think I just put the account number in in the end.
What is more of a concern is I started the ball rolling on 18th April, and it's not happened yet.
Have chased both parties and still no joy.
I thought it'd be easier moving some extra funds in, in the process of starting the 2023/24 new money ISA.
I also wonder, do Shawbrook cover this 2months of interest which should be at 4.28%, or is it still at NS@I at 2.4% until it's done?
Of course now, Shawbrook's better ISA rates are around 0.3-0.4% higher, so that 4.28% on a 2 year deal doesn't look great.
Does anyone know if there's some sort of regulator who can push either party to sorting this?
