Scratch that. The documentation says its supplied with 1.0sq.mm. So no more than 10A fuse.

Check your instructions include the following ..

"The heater is fitted with a length of flexible cable type H05VV-F size 2 x 1.0mm2 models for connection to the fixed wiring of the premises through a suitable connection box positioned adjacent to the heater."

In fact a simple resistive heater is unlikely to have a stupid PF or a switch on surge. Drawing 750W at the lowest allowed mains voltage would take 3.5A. So there's every chance that a 5A fuse woud be OK.

But if you want take the instructions at face value, size the fuse to the flex, then it's 10A.

If there is one. It wouldn't be beyond knowledgeable DIY if there's an existing suitable connection point.

Thanks Mser's Fuse was verbally suggested to be 5A.
Dimplex Alta is very much Smaller than previous heater.
Does Heat up very fast, not sure if 'Room Filling' is to be expected which L/R DQ does very well
App setup is mobile QR code from front of box.
Connecting to App was more time consuming as I didn't pre read Serial+Pin are labeled 'behind' Heater.
Found label by unclipping heater from wall mounted h bracket -2nd qr scan, bluetooth pairing/Wifi Connected.

Testing Heater with one or two Scheduled times between 19c Eco/21c Comfort Temps.
Going forward Cost Wise it would be maybe best I change from 1/2 Hours pre 23:30/0000 High Rate.
Maybe I could use 30/60 mins High rate and 1/2 hrs overnight Low Rate Eco7.

    thanks

It's a personal thing, comfort and temperature. I don't mind a cold bedroom overnight so ours is heated in the evening before bedtime, then completely off until 30 minutes before i get up. If had complete control I'd probably aim for around 18°C at those times.

I've only ever been 1-2 hrs before sleep time, nearer Winter and off until next evening.
I'm going to try 1-2hrs overnight, maybe not best time post Winter, could give me way forward for later this year at lower Energy costs.

    thanks

You've got storage heaters elsewhere, haven't you? So presumably Economy 7 or similar dual rate tariff. Depending in times you might be able to program some of the bedroom  heating during the cheap rate. Bear in mind E7 typically sticks to GMT and doesn't change to BST.

I think Alta is using Non Low Rate Live socket?
Though after my test via 19/23/25c
Running cost from 05:30 a.m. was £1.94 -which includes morning lights.
I've lowered temp to 18c until tonight.
I prefer from 18c rather than switching off.

    thanks

If you're on E7 then the whole property will be on the Low rate at the appropriate times, regardless of whether the circuit is switched by the meter.
