But she doesn't go on to tell you/us/me/him/her what the limit is!  I think she will find that if you try to "file later" as in adjust your defence it costs £108 (that may be incorrect but it is definitely over £100)
She doesn't have to as it states on the MCOL online user guide as follows:
    Step 5 – Claim particulars

This is your opportunity to explain what money is owed to you and why. You will need to provide a statement, called the particulars of claim (POC), explaining what you are claiming for. You will also need to state the amount you are claiming.

The POC are restricted to 24 lines of 45 characters and a total of 1,080 characters. If you type more than this the last part of your text will not appear on the claim. Please be aware that the website will only accept full stops, commas and pound signs as punctuation.

If you do not have enough space to explain your claim online and you need to serve extra, more detailed particulars on the defendant, tick the box that appears after the statement ‘you may also send detailed particulars direct to the defendant’. This will then reduce the amount of space left in the main particulars box by 3 lines. This is because a statement is automatically added explaining you will be serving further particulars. You will be able to see the extra information added in the next screen ‘Summary’. If you have enough space to explain your claim online do not tick this box.
This was the whole reason I queried it. They state a limitation for the PoC but there is no mention of any limitation for the Defence. That has now been clarified in the response I received from CCBC/MCOL, both boxes have the same limitation, which makes sense considering the very old software they are using.

There is nothing to prevent a Claimant adding a more detailed PoC as a pdf attachment with the original claim. Nothing about filing later. As long as it is done with the claim, there is no extra fee. Only if anything is needed to change later does it incur a fee.

    The claimant isn't DCBLegal.

    Who is the Claimant, please?

And can't you see from your MCOL history exactly what was accepted as your defence.

@Grizebeck will know: is it 1080 LINES not characters?  And does MCOL history show what went in as a defence?
Sorry parking control limited. I'm finding it a very confusing, the only reason I was in a McDonald's more than 90 minutes was becuase my son has aspergers and if he doesn't want to leave, we don't leave til he's ready. I honestly had no idea of the parking restrictions and I noticed no signs. There is not a clear sign at the entrance
No such parking firm. I'm guessing it is UK Parking Control Ltd (UKPC), but I have to admit that 'Sorry Parking Control Limited' does have a bit of a ring to it! 😄
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This from the response by Mrs Pickering

You need to put the main defence points but can refer to other separate documents/exhibits.
Any extra information can then be filed later, if the case proceeds to a Hearing date.
To be clear I am talking about the defence that Mrs Pickering said any extra information could be added later.

So you need to ring the CCBC tomorrow and ask for a copy of your own defence because you need it urgently and don't know which version was used.

    But Mrs Pickering said:

The last bit there - if the case proceeds to a Hearing date - says to me that the suggestion is that further information can be added at Witness Statement time.

Anyway, no images go in a Defence.

No, that's not what happens in the end.

As I expect we've pointed out earlier in this thread, DCBLegal discontinue single PCN cases when they see a decent WS bundle.
